Because I didn't know what else to title this, aha.

I've had a plot in mind for the past 2-ish years that I'd really like to finally start implementing, this time for real. I imagine it will be a medium scale, long term plot with in-forest and RP elements, collected into those cool fancy CSS posts for non-participants (and participants, I suppose!) to view and enjoy. With school winding down within the next few weeks, I believe that now is a good time to start brainstorming and working towards this story.

This plot will involve violence and major character death. Not all the details are set in stone though, of course. I am more than willing to accept input from all participants to make this story as good as it can be!

UPDATE 5/21

aha i hate myself for letting this slip god sorry everyone. Finals were a complete bitch and I've been lazy, admittedly, but I'm ready to get this show on the road and I think it will be better if I actually include more details here instead of being vague and cowardly. SO. Here are the characters I am still in need of:

A Villain - This can be... sort of any character, really. You can make them specifically for this event or you can offer up one of your own, but do know that it's imperative that they do some really bad shit. Like really bad. Please only apply for this if you are comfortable with the implications of a seriously bad guy and can do this justice. The more monstrous, the better. Do also be aware that I don't intend for this to be a shallow 'bad just because' bad guy, which is why I would sort of prefer a preexisting character. This is one of the most important roles and the one I will need the closest communication with.

Victims - A number of them. They don't have to be killed (though some may, IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH IT, and it's fine if some of them come back of course) but some very unsavory things are going to happen to them, most likely. Or they will be affected by said bad things in some way. I'm not searching for these quite as heavily yet, as I don't currently know what might happen to them other than the threat of death later on.

Heroes - This is sort of self explanatory and can be really anyone. These characters will be most important in the event's finale, which will be a community-wide event, but I will need some organisers, if you will. Characters who can get the rest of the forest into action, as well as partake in the action. Think of the legend of Paul Revere, if you know it: "The British are coming!" and all that. But the heroes are also allowed to kick some serious ass.

And there will be standard interactions in between these set roles, as it were. Scavengers may come to do what they want with the dead. Healers can tend the wounded. Friends can aid and mourn as needed. I want this plot to be as dynamic as possible, even though I've got the skeleton of the story together. It's open to be affected by each and every participant; they're not just puppets going through the motions.
