About me

My name is Jenny, I am 27 years old and I turn 28 this April. I am a senior in college going for my bachelors in animation and film. I hope to work as a freelance artist one day or even work in a game company such as naughty dog. Games, film and animation are pretty much my life. Its a big reason why I'm here at all. I dont think there is a point in my life when I was NOT with any of those things. Star Wars is my biggest inspiration followed by Legend of Zelda, Lord of the rings, etc. I love historical things and you can see that in my characters. Back stories are key to my muse and I will make thousands of characters to fit my purpose. I did text rp most of my life and its what i feel most comfortable doing though in game is just as fun too. I love making new friends so PLEASE don't feel shy to say hello!

Maybe it would be good to get rid of a few and touch up their designs/personalities/backstories etc, and bring them back as a clean slate. Maybe even change their name? idk lol

That's what I do, anyways. I don't get a lot of time to make completely new oc's so they get recycled some type of way

sometimes some new css, updated refs, and a new muse is all you need to stop a character from goin to the brain dump

My OC Black Knife keeps getting recycled and un-roleplayed because I never like how he is presented to people, and i was considering purging his bio again tbh.
If i had the time and patience to make him some good css/references/backstory, it might change (OC's are an investment!)

Agreeing with Jia's wise words. So many of my characters are made up of recycled ideas, which is why I personally find it most beneficial to not get rid of characters unless I'm completely disinterested in them. For example, I had a lot of characters that were goth/emo/whatever lmao when I went through that phase back in the early 00's, but that was yeaaaars ago so I've since gotten rid of them because that was filled with teen angst. Now I have that adult angst.

Maybe consider focusing on one new character for now? Idk I find that playing a new character helps a lot!

I'm so so so so SO glad to hear that! Explore the possibilities, do what makes you feel good, do what challenges you and enjoy the process. If I lived closer, I'd steal you away to go on like day trips to art workshops and to museums and just anywhere that seems fun.

Hee thanks fish that'd be so fun. I really need to LEARN anatomy and not just "draw" it like I have been. It was one of the realizations I had...is that I've just been drawing and not really learning anything....

I've also let go of things I lvoe based on what people think and its a fight to get rid of that but i think im in the right direction
