Exhausted but exhilarated, a few new bruises on his legs
Woke up after a very long snooze, felt doubly refreshed and ready for the world! After a short while of chilling by his gravestone was approached by the black doe. Happy to see a familiar face, greeted her with a slightly less awkward bow and vigorous nodding. Even tried to give the female a 'rub' as she seemed to do whenever she saw him. Excited to show off some new 'moves' and climbed up on the ruin wall to show what a boss he was since she'd last been around. Tripped up a bit once, but pretended like it didn't happen...
Settled down on top of the wall for a little while before getting up and zipping around, using his pent up energy to hop around with the black doe. (+ being playful) Leaped over some pretty big tombstones. Ha, he was getting the hang of this! Ended up at that peculiar tree with the things growing out of it. The black doe ate one! And then started giving him masks?! What the... Eventually got up the courage to do the same, but bleck! Those squishy things did not taste good!
A stranger approached then, but black doe seemed to know him. Followed the two around for a while, but got distracted by a big fluffy bunny. Almost lost black doe, but quickly sped after her when her buck friend ran off. Was starting to get rather tired from all this jumping and running about, his stamina still wasn't the best. They ended up at the pond, a place he had never been before. Was trying to stick to black doe like glue since this was the furthest he had ever wandered away from his tombstone, but couldn't help getting distracted by the huge mass of shiny liquid. Oogled, completely mesmerized. But as his focus strayed from black doe, she wandered off and it was too late before he noticed she had gone. Too tired to panic, nestled up next to a log to rest, staring out in awe at the expanse of liquid before him.
Was eventually approached by a monarch stag who taught him a bit about this strange water. Was still too timid of the frigid liquid and ended up getting himself all muddy slopping about on the bank. Eventually led back to the Ruins by "big buck" and he flopped over, exhausted from the day's travels. Had a very intriguing conversation with the buck. Apparently there were 'names' for deer? He was "Deeee". So was fawn "Maaa-liiick...?" Pondered this as his eyelids closed and he drifted off into a deep, restful slumber.

    March 25, 2013

Spent a bit of his morning lounging around the ruins, trying to climb up on some ledges again. Getting a bit more agile but his wing was still throwing off his balance quite a bit. Grr. Eventually settled down by his tombstone, worn out from all the adventuring.
Unfortunately, he was soon stomped on by a very persistent nameless buck. Tried to tell the other to back off but was ignored and knocked about several times. Went to go hide in a little nook in the ruins, but was followed. Forced to squeeze himself into a very small spot to avoid the mad buck... (- strange buck) Was finally left alone and after a while wandered back to his stone, unhappy about how useless he was at fending off those scary, rambunctious bucks...
Was eventually roused to attention by a peculiar orangey stag gorging on something attached to a tree. Snuck into the little hiding place (that he doesn't quite fit in) thinking he was hidden and tried to spy on the buck. Was soon spotted and he bolted to another spot behind a pillar, watching until he wandered a ways off. Crept up to the aforementioned tree and tried to nibble on the tree bark as he couldn't quite reach the growths. Ick! That didn't taste good either! Didn't feel very well after this and plopped down by his tombstone, not very happy about how the day had gone. (- trying new foods)

    March 24, 2013

Woke up in the ruins as per, but felt a burst of energy. Tried to scale a few of the ledges in the ruins and was undeterred by a few missteps. Ended up hurting himself a little, but felt immense pride when he managed to get on top of a relatively tall wall. Finally! Even invited a fellow fawn to come join him, though it seemed to have trouble maneuvering its way up...
Eventually got down and trotted his way around the area he now knew relatively well. Ran by the mushroom circle he had always wondered about and tried to dig up one of the shrooms. Even nibbled it... Bleck! Gross, that didn't taste good. Ended up plopped down in the cranny between the two logs that he was beginning to quite like as a dozing spot.

    "Maaa.... Maaa-liiick...?"
Testing out the word that was given to him by the gods, what did it mean?

    February 18, 2013

Startled awake when something cold settled on his back. Got up and stared up at the strange white flecks that were floating from the sky. Intrigued by the fluffy looking things, tried to rear up to meet their incoming. Got rather excited by the nippy weather as well as these strange specks which were starting to accumulate on his pelt and wing. Tried to do a bit of running around and climbing as he had seen others do, but just ended up falling off some ledges and scraping his knees up. One day... (+ being playful; snow) Eyed a deer that had managed to scale one of the higher walls and felt a pang of jealousy. He could barely get himself up on the lower ledges, but it would happen some day! Finally got tired of beating up his legs and plopped down beside his grave. Dozed off.
Awoke to find the black doe standing over him, ack! Sprang up, not noticing that she had been trying to block the snow. Greeted her with a clumsy, but joyful bow. (+ black doe) Snuggled with her for a short while before something caught his attention. A little fawn hidden in a crevice in one of the rocks... Tried to poke the little tyke out, but before he could do much they were joined by a familiar black buck. Ah, the same male from last time! Also greeted him with a clumsy bow. (+ black doe's mate) Turns out the male was an adept climber, and the fawn was amazed as he deftly leaped onto one of the higher pillars. After a bit of play, they all settled down in the ruins with the fawn taking the little one's hiding place from before. Except he didn't quite fit...
Was soon led off into the distance when the black buck left, a little red fawn catching his attention. He peered at her from behind a tombstone, but she was chased off rather quickly and he ended up with the black doe for company once more. Starting to really enjoy her presence, she even managed to teach him how to nuzzle!
Cuddled up with the doe for warmth, though he was surprisingly unbothered by the snow. Actually stood over the doe for a bit with his one wing outstretched over her, keeping the flakes off her hide. They were soon approached by yet another black buck though, this one the doe also seemed to know although there was so much tension that even the clueless fawn felt something was off. Tried to greet the male, but was mostly ignored. Watched the buck run off and somehow get the black doe's skin back. Hm, interesting. (+ getting pelts) The hree settled down for about two seconds before the male leaped up and ran off into the distance, taking the familiar female with him. The fawn was tired out from all the trotting around and just wedged himself in between two logs, ready for a nap. Noted the doe's return as he drifted off in the snowy afternoon.

    February 17, 2013

Found himself in the Great Oak, but was abruptly 'called' by something in the distance. Instinct pulled him to his feet and he gravitated towards an unknown destination. Traveling far out of his comfort zone of the Ruins, he was pulled in a direction that lead him to two shining idols. Here he saw something that intrigued him. The masses around him made him nervous, but he was so drawn to this figure that he barely noticed them. "A God..." They whispered. A... God... He watched in the distance and then it stood. Amazed by the powerful being, the fawn felt something nudging into his head... A curious word that made no sense to him. He kept it in his head though, maybe it would make more sense in the future. (+ an interesting word)
After the God left with a flourish, he crept back to the Giant Oak and hid in a crevice, pondering what he had learned today...

    February 16, 2013

Woke up next to his tombstone and was greeted by a large number of fawns. Was a bit overwhelmed by all the hopping around and exuberance, but found that he wanted to frolic with the similar sized deer. Felt an urge to attempt such daring leaps as the other little ones were and he attempted to hop over a tombstone. Barely managed to clear it, but fell over on the landing. Humph, one day! (+ playfulness) When all the fawns finally dispersed, he was left with a particularly small female who kept him company for a time. She seemed interested in one of the tombstones, almost looking... Sad? About it. Confused by this, but kept the little one company anyhow. (+ small female fawns)
Dozed off and woke up to a spurt of energy. Wandered off towards that large tree he hadn't managed to investigate. But once more got distracted. Ended up wedged in between these logs and found he quite enjoyed the security he felt. (+ small spaces)
Slept here for a while before he once more decided to set off. At long last he made it to the Great Oak. Snuck into a crack in the giant tree and peered around. Seemed nobody was around, but hm he liked it here... The place smelled strongly of deer, even to his decidedly human nose, and he figured he could stay here for a while... Maybe he would see something interesting.

    February 7, 2013

Awoke in the ferns, noticed that the rain had finally stopped. Shook his pelt off and headed back to his tombstone. Was followed and got his personal space invaded by an unknown buck. (- strange buck) Starting to realize he is becoming weary of deer that run about as he cannot (for the time being) keep up with them, and he usually gets knocked over in the process. Determined to start trying to get his legs working like those other deer though... Explored the ruins a bit and found 'the pit.' Eyed it for a while before stepping in and deciding it was a nice hiding spot.
Dozed off and awoke to a little bunny sitting in the ruins. Intrigued by the fluffy creature and watched it for a long time. Unfortunately, he fell asleep and the fluffy thing got away... (+ bunnies)
Moved back to his tombstone where he found the black doe from the other day! Greeted her with an attempted bow and happily plopped down next to the friendly female. Happy to see a familiar face in this big ol' forest. (+ black doe)

    February 6, 2013

Startled awake when raindrops started falling from the sky. Confused about the whole situation, tried to huddle up against his tombstone for comfort. Only took minutes for him to get completely soaked, his bangs now plastered to his face and his wing heavy with water. Felt extremely uncomfortable. (- getting soaked)
Swayed to his feet and decided to wander off to that big looking tree from earlier. Made it a bit farther this time, but got distracted by a fluffy looking rabbit in the distance that didn't seem affected by the rain. Intrigued. Wandered over and plopped down beside a tree, taking shelter underneath the branches. Watched the rabbit until it... Turned back into a deer thing? Interesting... He'd seen this once before. Stumbled to his feet when it approached, watched the other bow in greeting. Also noticed other deer had done this, tried to do the same himself but sort of stumbled and just looked a bit silly. Nodded a greeting instead. (+ bowing, nodding) After eying up the white deer-thing, settled back down and huddled up against the tree, still not liking the rain. (+ white, horned creature)

    February 4, 2013

Made his way back to the graveyard upon waking up. Sat down and tried to twitch his wing about, having it drag along the floor was both annoying and getting a bit painful as he had rubbed it raw. Dozed off for a bit, but was woken up by an unknown buck spell casting him. Ouch! (- strange bucks, bright light) Did not enjoy the sensation, but was cast again despite his protests. Stumbled towards a crack in the ruins, hid until the other went away.
Went back to his little tombstone, but was soon approached by an unknown fawn. Tried to nod in greeting, but as soon as he moved the other plopped down where he had been sitting. Hey! That was his spot! (- others taking over) The fawn left eventually, and he triumphantly plopped his tush back down.
After a long while of just sitting though, he started to get a bit curious. Wandering away from the graveyard yesterday had opened his eyes. There was so much to see! Noticed a very large looking tree in the distance and decided to try to investigate it. Set off at a brisk walk, but tired halfway there and has taken shelter in a bush.

    February 3, 2013

Awoke in the ruins once more, made his way to the tombstone that he had taken shelter under the day before. Snuggled up against it.
Approached by yet another rambunctious antlered buck. Tried to back away but was chased and stomped on (probably accidentally). Stumbled multiple times in an attempt to get away, wedged himself in between a tree and a wall trying to hide from the leaping, prancing beast. Petrified by the feeling of pain as he desperately tried to escape the buck's attentions. Ended up falling and getting knocked over several times before the male lost interest. (-- strange bucks) Has stumbled towards an alcove in the graveyard, doing his best to hide. Dozed off.
Startled awake when he felt a body pressed up against his. Too tired to flee though he tried. However, the black doe seemed to realize he was fragile and carefully sniffed at him. (+ strange does) Has noticed that deer seem to sniff/nod a lot and so he mirrored; learned to bob his head. (+ nodding) Eventually settled down by the black doe and his tombstone.
After a long rest, he spent a bit of time wandering around the graveyard, trying to get a hang of his gangly limbs. Annoyed by his wing, which is still just dragging along the ground, but satisfied as he sat back down after tuckering himself out.
Was approached by a little fawn as well as a large, antlered male. Weary of the latter at first, but the black doe seemed to know him. Nodded in greeting, but kept hugging a gravestone just in case. (+ black doe's 'group') Finds he feels secure when his body is pressed up against an inanimate object. Soon though, the scene became overwhelming as adults and fawns came streaming in. A bit freaked out, but did his best to keep from stumbling too much. The black male herded his family away and the one-winged fawn was left alone for a moment until the black doe came back for him! He did his best to follow the female, though his pace was slow and his eyes alight in wonderment at the new scenery around him. Settled down by a large tree a little ways off with the family, spent from the wandering about. Happy to be able to doze with some friendly company.

    February 1, 2013

Awoke here. Stood on shaky limbs, stumbling quite a bit due to his lopsided weight with only one wing. Attempted to investigate his surroundings, but quickly tired and is currently huddled up against a tombstone.
Approached by an exuberant buck, was startled by the other's pushing and prancing. Tried to hide, but was accidentally knocked over twice. (- strange bucks)
Later approached by a brown doe. Timid at first, sneaking peaks at her from around a corner. Was eventually sniffed and although he had no idea how to react, he tried to respond in kind with a few head shakes and some shuffling. (+ strange does) Was gently nudged in a direction and he did his best to follow, despite his large wing dragging on the ground as he walked. Stumbled once and had to plop down for a while, but the doe was patient. Ended up resting by the doe and a fellow fawn.
Was spell casted while napping, shocked by the intense light and was blinded for a few moments and felt extremely vulnerable. (- bright light)
Noticed a little green hopping thing approach, too tired to get up and investigate. But when it transformed into a large, black canine he reacted by stumbling backwards, tripping over his dragging wing once more. Fortunately, the big male did not show any aggression. Tried to show the canine that he was no threat. (+ strange canines)
An introduction...
Maalik?
Male
‘Newborn’
Size 23
orca great argus pelt, noh nubs, fan mask

Appearance
  • Face

The face of an innocent youth, there is nothing special about his features. However, there are faint red lines that run across his face, creating a swirling pattern. These red lines are normally almost unnoticeable, but at certain times they will pulse and flash to life, shifting and morphing as if to reflect his emotions. Possesses human ears, though they are elongated and pointed at the ends.
  • Eyes

He has strange looking eyes, mostly because his pupils are not circular but instead are shaped like a curved w. His iris' are a deep Prussian blue.
  • Head

A shock of fringe falls in front of his face, reaching down to his chin. Half of his hair is white, the other half black, but the sides of his head are shaved, leaving nothing but a bit of what looks like singed fuzz in its wake. Currently has no antlers and doesn’t appear to have any growths indicating a future set.
  • Coat

Much like a pale fallow deer, he has a tan top line that blends into a soft cream, and then a white underbelly. As a fawn, he has various white spots speckled throughout the top half of his pelt.
  • Body

A lanky, bordering on too-skinny frame. Has a large jagged scar on his right shoulder. His ribs are just barely visible and his body is extremely ‘unisex.’ There is nothing masculine nor feminine about him, though he seems quite frail due to his rather thin looking body. A long tapered tail, much like a lions but without the tuft of hair at the end. Instead, it ends in a flurry of feathers.
  • Quirks

A single cream coloured, feathery wing extends from his left shoulder blade. Rather large when extended, but battered and almost transparent at the wispy tips. A chain is wrapped around this solitary wing. He also wears an intricate circlet with a small white gem embedded in the part that lays against his forehead. It seems fused to his head.
