Today was very chill. Feeling much better than he has in a while, Kagekaze sojourned to the pond where he found Ciel bathing. He joyously greeted the buck and proceeded to romp around with him along with a new acquaintance, Eraline. They were soon joined by Sparrow, who to Kage's shock was full-grown and quite tall. Nuzzled his "nephew" like no tomorrow and preened at his fur, and engaged in some playful banter before settling down with the small group.
When Ciel and Eraline moved off to the side a little to be alone, the daemon smiled knowingly, thinking that perhaps the two may be more than just friends. Feels proud of Ciel. Stayed cuddled with Sparrow, and was ecstatic when Stockholm appeared. He looked different, but still as beautiful as ever in the daemon's eyes. Promptly suffocated the feminine buck with nuzzles and curled around him, sandwiched between him and Sparrow. Utterly content, and perking up.

gained back some sanity, or if Hibje is severely injured.

e: Oh don't worry, I don't think I noticed his antlering! I think the worst hotkey mix-up is when you laugh when you meant to do something serious/aggressive. Oh god. D| But yeah, it can be tough to communicate sometimes! I understand the pride thing, hehe. But that's alright, because Nightmare technically wasn't a threat. Kage doesn't demand submission from anyone; he just wants to make sure that they mean no harm. <:

That's good, Nightmare in general is attempting to make himself look less... intimidating (Even though he's a giant walking back of spikes with a nasty looking face now XD) and he does still care a slight bit about Herla regardless.

Seeing Herla, curled with this strange being he shifted slightly before coming closer and lowering his head down... dropping a large thing over herbs before the two. Silent, and continuing to remain so he turned and bolted out of the hallow leaping up and breaking through what appeared to be an invisible wall that shattered as he disappeared.

The daemon hadn't expected the creature to return, although he remained alert even as he rested within the oak with his charge. A sharp scent soon reached his sensees however, and he stood and tensed even before Nightmare manifested himself. It was a scent that was new to Kagekaze, but it would be impossible for him to forget it. As the monstrous being entered the oak the daemon stood over his charge, lowering his head to display his horns in a warning. Surprise overcame him when the beast merely dropped yet another bundle of herbs before them and then promptly charged away. Baffled, the daemon's eyes followed the blue beast, amazed when Nightmare seemed to just vanish into thin air.
What a strange place, this forest. It was a far cry from his own world, but it was an oddity for sure. There was so much he did not know, and his curiosity of the behemoth only continued to climb. His attention soon returned to the ebony doe that shivered beneath him, and with some coaxing he got her to settle down once more. Such a strange, dreary night, indeed.

He was calm, yes. The furless creature sat upon the ancient stone, his long tail draping over the edge and flicking lazily now and then. His long ears turned slowly, back and forth, picking up on every creak of a branch and the shifting of leaves as they were stirred by the occasional gentle breeze. Although the daemon sat in silence, he was grateful for the stag's company. He had seen Saburo before, and the other male gave off a naturally calming aura. He had a good soul, this quiet stranger.
Saburo's voice lifted in the silence, and Kagekaze blinked out of his hazed trance and turned to face the other male. A small smile graced the daemon's lips despite the initial cross tone, and he bowed his head slightly, his silver hair falling over his eyes as he did so. "I feel an energy in this place, this structure. I find it enlightening to overlook this area where other have gone to rest forever," he replied quietly, indicating to the headstones before them with a small nod. "Greetings to you as well, my friend. My name is Kagekaze. I have seen you before, but I'm afraid I do not know your name."

As the other male announced his name, the daemon bowed his head again in acknowledgment. An ear tipped when he continued to speak, curious as to why Saburo would bother to follow him. As a small period of silence fell upon them, the daemon let his eyes roam over the stag. Saburo had a strong yet graceful build, his hair long-swept and his face handsome and fair. Kage became lost for a moment while taking it all in, but then snapped back to the present when the stag spoke again.
"Well, I...suppose you could say I am not from this place. I am a daemon, a being different from your kind. And yet, we are kindred spirits, or so I like to think," he replied softly, the smile remaining although his brow was slightly knit in thought. "Were you born in this forest, friend? Or do you come from a different world as I have?"
