Uhmmm! I would love it if you drew my still-unnamed stag (Tavros). I still am very unsure about his design (I'm not good at such things) but the idea is something (very vaguely) like this. MAYBE. I can't decide how I want him to look. D: I would like you to draw him in any way you like, actually! You can interpret him freely. You have met him before so you should have some idea of what he is like.
Or if you need a real reference then let me know and I will try to come up with one.
Don't feel preassured about time, if you have a lot to do I don't mind waiting. At all! I'm extremely patient about these things.

K I am back from trip to
Like I said, all same caveats. I am so slow.
I tried to draw your stag -six- times. I am not content with any of the sketch starts. I want to get his spirit right, so I am still biding my time with completing him in any timely fashion. ;p
Also I had no computer to look at the ref pic. So things may go smoother now. Does he have a human or deer face? Or a bit of a hybrid face?
I do know this: I would like you to draw Hototo as a young stag. But I have yet to decide what that looks like. I know I want him to be very similar to a fallow deer, but with a few distinguishing traits of his own. I will likely sketch him up loosely for myself and you as well, then you can run with it!

Ahh about his face, that's a problem because I really don't know. *sob* I swear I've drawn him with every face imaginable, human, deer, you name it. The way I drew him in the ref pic he has a deerish face, although it has some classically dragonlike features, like nostril placement, and his snout is more dainty and smoothly curved than a deer's. (Although he isn't a dragon, I like how it makes him look more spirit-like.) I haven't truly decided if I want to keep that look for him, though... *being difficult*
Honestly you can draw him in any way you see fit, in whatever way you think captures his spirit, as you put it. Actually, I have thought recently that maybe I won't make a ref for him, and just let his looks be free for interpretation. Sorry for being difficult..

I really just lost myself in it for a while.
A moonface is the name I gave to my style of drawring creatura from dreams, where all the people and animals all look like they have painted faces. Like pretty pretty clowns. They often are absurd colors, and the animals often have human faces just like on TEF so I decided to draw deer like moonfaced people.

Hototo is also a moonface. And so is -=This=- and -=This=-.

The beard is wonderful! I never drew him like this before, but I was blown away! Those beautiful flowy lines, and how it follows the patch underneath his eyes as well - it's magic! And heck there is so much that is awesome here! I really love the color shifting at the feet, and how you draw the swirly knees - it makes me think of cinnamon rolls and I want to eat them!
