_{8 October 2020} Has found her first several months in the forest to be quite a whirlwind of experiences. After her initial, fairly secretive and chaotic entry to the forest, has spent a great deal of her time studying what she can as well as lurking. She frequently exhausts her magical reserves in a mix of idiotic antics, extensive "tests", and the sheer amount of effort that is required to maintain her quadrupedal form for weeks without end. As a result, has taken to draining the life force of prey and converting it to magical energy to prevent herself from becoming exhausted. Less than happy about this, but finds no alternative other than returning to her natural form.

Other than this, doing quite well. Has met several friendly faces or interesting beings over her time in the forest. Has had a few nerve-wracking encounters but has been able to take all things in stride as a whole. Dreads the prospect of never being able to reach her home again, but is not losing hope, as she has found promising trace magic from Bydofn.

Witnessed a murder yesterday and overwhelmed with guilt that she was unable to intervene. Has developed a new determination to learn how to battle foes in the forest so she can intervene without guaranteeing her own death. Supposes it would benefit her as well, but is now confident in her ability to flee danger by tree climbing.

Shrewd and intelligent to a fault. She is prone to questioning nearly every single things she is told and tend not to take anyone for what they say unless they can prove themselves or she recognizes them as an expert in their field. Rather quiet in this particular aspect of her personality, but it becomes apparent she is questioning nearly everything she is told or encounters is one pays attention to her behavior. She tends to think her way out of everything, as much as possible and loves any intellectual challenge. Constantly seeking new knowledge, appears to be something she values above anything material. An avid collector of books as a result.

Outgoing or introverted depending on the situation. Has little issue interacting with others and thrives in certain company, but equally content to be left alone for hours. Doesn't go out of her way to seek company most occasions but can be the center of attention in a part and feel mostly comfortable. Difficult to embarrass and does not bend under social pressure. Doesn't rock the boat in social situations but will also speak her mind. Not rude but not one to be silent and is generally her own person, regardless of the situation unless such would put others in harm's way. There are exceptions always. Does not have a large number of friends, but more of a result of her tendency to travel. Does not have much difficulty in making friends and can carry a conversation pretty easily, finds her bonds endure distance and time, can pick things up were they were left off with someone she hasn't seen in years. Can take charge of a situation, is never someone to blindly follow unless she truly doesn't care about the outcome.

A woman with intense emotions that are generally hidden in some degree. Does not consider herself weak for the way she feels, simply prefers to keep her feelings to herself. Fears being manipulated or used most of all. Could care less how strangers view her. Values how comfortable she is with herself over the approval of others and does not need it to validate her own feelings. Doe not act on her feelings, regardless of whether they are justified, prefers to act with her head over her heart. Has done numerous things that spite how she feels. While certain morals are never crossed, would likely never find her acting out of anger. In general, is very slow to anger and rarely envies others. More concerned with what she can do to achieve her goals than what others have.

Confident and comfortable with herself but doesn't think that highly of herself. Does not view herself as above or below anyone, nor does she compare herself to others much. While often feeling like she could accomplish more, feels like she pretty good the way she is, or at least better than what she was. Measures herself only against her past self. Always trying to improve and does try to emulate those she admires, blending their traits into her own, but simply just wants to be a better version of herself each day. Doesn't doubt her abilities often but does set very high expectations of herself and tends to fall short of them in her own mind. Could be praised endlessly by someone and still consider herself a failure. Can only be validated by herself, which is a problem given how critical she is of herself. Still doesn't suffer with her self image. Comfortable knowing she has room to improve and always will.

Polite and pleasant until given a reason to be otherwise. Tying in with her control of her emotions, she is usually very pleasant to strangers and seems to give everyone numerous chances. Her courtesy extends rather far. However, is not a doormat and while capable of enduring verbal abuse, generally tunes it out and disregards it. Does not forgive it, but has a thick skin and hides a great deal behind a charming smile. Has a very long memory and will work against someone who has crossed her when it most benefits her. Not overtly petty and capable of dismissing most things, but her generally helpful demeanor will falter for those who have proved undeserving. Helpful to those she doesn't know and selfless for those she cares about.

Does well under pressure. Does not crack and takes charge of whatever situation she's in. Does a bit better solo than as part of a team. Falls somewhere between a leader and a follower as while not enjoying putting her fate in the hands of someone else, equally does not enjoy doing the same for someone else. Difficult to intimidate. In part numb and in another quite confident in herself. Old enough to have seen a number of things and in general used to having the odds stacked against her in conflict... Also very used to most people being taller than her and absolutely loathes being talked down to.

Quirks

_✥ Dislikes being called cute. Generally finds it patronizing.

_✥ Not a big fan of being touched, especially by strangers. Not particularly touchy with close relations nor cuddly. Displays affection in other ways. May be be persuaded into cuddles if cold. Prefers to spoon if she has to and likes being the "big" spoon.

_✥ Categorizes people very quickly in her head, though open to being proven wrong. Tends to put a cynical spin on it the most time, hates to be disappointed, prefers to be pleasantly surprised.

_✥ Doesn't think in terms of good or bad, views the world in shades of gray, tries to judge people by the good they do rather than the bad but is hugely cynical. Can be a grudge holder but does her best to let go of wrongs done to her that were not significant. Can forgive easily in most circumstances if there is a genuine apology.

_✥ A cat person. Likes dogs, though not small dogs. Will give you a detailed reasoning on why which stems back to one of her fellow students and her "pomeranian" that eliminated everywhere and got in a fight with Blake's cat, now familiar. Really likes mastiffs and shepherds.

_✥ Loves her familiar more than most people and values his life before many.

_✥ Tends to find it easier to befriend men than women. Gets along better with men usually. Discovered how catty the other girls were in her first years at the academy and ended up primarily befriending boys.

_✥ Very practical. Typically only wears a quick smoky eye if she bothers with makeup and hair is done simply to keep it out of her way. Has nice things but tends to stick to comfortable travel attire.

_✥ Travels a great deal. Enjoys learning about different subjects from a variety of people. Incredibly prone to delving into ruins. Immerses herself frequently in ancient ruins to study ancient ways of magic and people.

_✥ Doesn't dislike kids, but not particularly good with them and endlessly awkward with them. Tends to treat children overly delicately. Good with children she is familiar with and close to the parents on and would certainly protect any children she comes into contact with. However, is still the type to throw her hand up and panic when someone tries to hand her their newborn or this. A good mentor bu not necessarily nurturing. Much prefers to be around children that have reached a durable age. Easily frustrated by teenagers. Doesn't want kids of her own, though unlikely to ever as a result of her magic.

_✥ Sexuality is strange and fluctuating. Not necessarily demisexual, but her ability to be attracted to others fluctuates when not in a relationship. Never particular interested in sex but capable of enjoying it. Does not pursue it, but who she reciprocates it from can change from one week to the next. Tends to prefer feminine individual. Monogamous but finds it difficult to fall in love.

Forest form is a blend of cervine and draconic qualities and fluctuates on her whims. Can still cast her spells through it. Lacks any magic abilities specific to it, but the tail has anatomy much like the wyrms of her home world and can be compared to a python in its strength and mobility. Fur is for the most part short, thick, and soft like an otter, but acquires a scale like quality where it is iridescent. Bone structure is fairly light but strong and will bend rather than break under most stress. Muscled is lean and strong, suited for explosive bursts, athletic over strong. Form is incredibly flexible and capable of contorting herself in ways where most would assume she is breaking or dislocating something. Teeth are primarily sharp in the front before abruptly shifting to molars further back. Sizes are prone to changing depending on her mood, as with the purple hues that may occasionally shimmer or glow. The form is produced by magic and her own personal taste, thus prone to warping to her whims and is not a completely set form. Lacks any external indication of sex. Also lacks nipples or other mammalian sex traits.

Human
_✥ 158cm tall, on the short side for a woman, 56kg, lean and well muscled for her frame, wide hips, small breasts, fairly athletic.

_✥ Pale skin that does not tan much, covered in light freckles that become more pronounced when exposed to sun, most easily seen on he nose, cheeks, and shoulders. Very few scars, all scars fully heal in time unless she chooses to keep them.

_✥ Hair is a silver ombre with dark gray roots. While unaging, hair started going gray and while trying to fix it magically, achieved her current hair coloration. Has not been able to change it since. Has some shape but fairly straight and soft. Not usually styled aside from ways to keep it out of her face.

_✥ Eyes are purple and tend to change hue depending on her mood or physical state. Lacks control over it. Were initially blue but permanently colored by her magic after an accident.

_✥ Well put a GIANT paragraph in here about her personal style.. LIKE OMG HOW flipping big this will be. I guess we'll also have to toss her makeup or general lack thereof and therefor a bit about her culture/world as well.

Proficiencies
_✥ Skilled in unarmed combat. Not a expert but has been trained in a style similar to jiu jitsu by a group of monks in Cataj and picked up bit and pieces from several friend the the Northern Kingdoms. Fights only in self defense and does not fight fair. Enjoys it and continues to practice. Supplements her casting with skills learned in martial arts. Not helpless without her magic but not nearly as effective with her hands as she is with her magic in combat.

_✥ In fairly good shape and rather acrobatic, not the fastest or the strongest but balanced. Extends her body's ability to carry and channel magic by working on her physique.

_✥ Is a very good cook. Creative and can come up with something pretty tasty on her first try. A very picky eater.

_✥ Has some skill in making mead as a result of having grown up on a meadery. Also knows how to care for bees and can garden.

_✥ Dabbles in alchemy. Beyond a novice, but does not experiment heavily in the subject. Can follow a recipe and discern the finer details in a potion or a poison and treat ailments.

Sorcery
Blake is among the minority to be gifted with an innate ability to manipulate magic in her world. Mages are uncommon in her world, especially among humans. While now having reserves of her own magic, was initially only able to manipulate what was around her. Magic of her world is a chaotic force that has a tendency to consume and expand once put into its raw, unfiltered forms. It can be drawn from life, lightning, fire, whatever the user is capable of manipulating and converting to raw, magical energy. Blake uses a "brace" or "gauntlet" that allows her to work with magic she is not yet proficient in without massive risk, though it does limit how much she can channel. She is primarily a somatic caster, though she has been known to use the First Speech to further direct her magic when doing particular complex spells or things unfamiliar to her. In addition, she may use materials or runes to visualize when working with taxing and unfamiliar spells, such as storm calling. Does not always need her her brace to cast and tend to find it a hindrance in spells she casts naturally.

Incredibly quick to call Ashe a friend, abnormal for Blake, but given Ashe's show of compassion and bravery so early on, inclined toward the Wraith without time to forge the bond. Feels indebted to after Ashe not only came to her aid during an attack she was entirely unprepared to handle, but took her to receive medical care. Seeks to compensate for the money Ashe spent on her care, but would come to her aid without hesitation.

A very easy going individual who's presence she finds relaxing. Enjoys being around him and would like to get to know him better. Spends much of her time around him when they are both about.

Big lady she's chatted with and utterly flattered when she came to her defense in the midst of an attack. Charmed by, but unlikely to admit such sober.

One of the first she met and has talked to in the forest. Provided insight and finds him genuine. Enjoys chatting with and thinks he's an adorable sweetheart. Suspects he can take care of himself but wonders if people might try to take advantage of his nature.

Attacked by Vahni in a hunting attempt. Doesn't really hate but is certainly wary of and likely to discourage familiars from approaching and keep little ones away from Vahni. Caused Blake to make several adjustments to her forest enchantment. Heavily considering a preemptive attack once she feels comfortable brawling on four legs, to discourage any further hunting attempts.
