Talking to Suiren had seemed like a good idea at the time. Now Tundra wasn't so sure...

He had walked away from that conversation as red-faced as the ninja he had gone to talk to her about.

He had mentioned that "he wasn't sure, but it seemed like something was bothering Kinsha..." That had gotten him an interesting look.

From what he could tell of her poker face anyway. That thing still unnerved him...

Trying to ignore it, he had explained what he'd observed outside, from the faltered throw to the odd reaction he'd gotten when he'd been noticed watching.

Finally her face had gotten more of an expression! Though he wasn't sure if he preferred that over the permanent serious look, since...she'd raised a brow with a teasing, "Oh?" that spoke volumes.

"So he blushed when he noticed you."

Blink. "Yea..."

"And wouldn't make eye contact."

Another blink. "No, he wouldn't even look at me." Where was she going with this?

"Interesting."

Something about how she said that unnerved him more. He shifted his eyes, looking unsure.

"So..." Uh oh. He liked the tone of that voice even less. "Something happen last night that I should know about?"

Blink blink. She'd asked Kinsha the exact same thing that morning! "Uh...why do you ask?" He'd figured out that he and Kinsha had had a little too much to drink, which was why he'd woken up with his head in pain on the couch...

But wait...earlier she'd said...

"...what did you mean by us 'looking cozy'?"

Now she was smirking. Crap.

"Oh, I just happened to find the two of you cuddled together on the couch."

...

Wait. But, that...what. He definitely didn't remember that!

...and was his face heating up?

"And I'm going to assume by that 'deer in headlights' look you've got that you don't remember anything." She seemed to take pity on him, if at least a little. "It seems our resident ninja does, though. Maybe you should ask him..."

So here he was. Red-faced and confused, and apparently suffering alcohol-induced amnesia.

And the one person he could ask about what happened was nowhere to be found.

Crap.
