I would like to know and understand, because I don't really see the reason but...

What is the purpose of a Tumblr or Spotify for a character?

I have seen many people doing this, but I could not find the reason of why.
Can someone explain me, please?

A hub for inspiration. For Tumblr, reblog things that resonate with your character. For Spotify, gather music that makes you think "this is so my x character".

I just use tumblrs as a way

I just use tumblrs as a way to store little things that remind me of my character, or my character's thoughts of others. Inspirations or just funny little things that speak about their personality. OOOR not-so-funny things that do the same.
I don't think there's a real purpose other than fun for me eue
