I have a feeling this might be long a drug out, so bear with me.
I have had Snowrift as a fursona for so long, but she has never really gotten any distinct features or characteristics. So she is pretty much not even a fursona at all for me. For one, her species isn't clearly defined. Shes gone from a wolf, to a lion, to a leopard...and its just confusing me.
Her markings also change over the years...and as of now she doesnt really have anything to go by.
So I ask the community to help me with this....help me create my fursona. It can be any species, prominatly feline, canine, or ungulate. Names would be nice too, because Snowrift just doesnt seem right for my fursona's name.
I'd like for her to be rather creative and unusual. Im using Pega as a guniea pig here, sorry. Pega [and I dont know if your leowolf is your fursona, sorry] uses the leowolf in pictures sometimes, and it just amazes me the creativity of it all. Im not asking fora replica of her character, just some opinions on how to make mine somewhat stand-out-ish ya know?
I know what your probably thinking; its my fursona and I should make it up myself. But honestly ive been at it for 3 years and Im stumped on anything to do. If you have anything that would help...please please please feel free to help me out!
Ill tell you a few things about me if it helps:
-I love animals and vetrinary stuff
-I adore horses, and ride them myself, but I also find felines and cats simply beatiful creatures
-All time favorite animal is the Gray Wolf
-If I could choose a superpower it would be flying
-Markings on fursona's really draw my attention and I envy them so
-Im best at drawing horses and deer, but felines are also a strong point. Im working on Canines...
-Favorite colors are grey, blue, lilac, and black.
-African/Egyptian names are interesting to me and unique
-Im a very positive person most of the time, and drawn to love and friendship
Please comment guys, Id love some community involvment in ideas!

Maybe you could post some art examples to show us your art? ^^ Maybe something in your line, your technique, will bring us some light to help you!
PS: How curious, my fav' animal is the wolf too <3 And I love horses as well xD /eject

I get what you guys mean,
But this one, I dont know...its different. I want her to be something that people know who she is, not constantly changing...its difficult to understand. Like an animal identity maybe?

...sorry I went on a tangent, but that's basically the process I went through. XD; My fursona almost created itself basically. I still use the term lightly, as it's not quite my fursona (she's more of me in animal form), but I use the term so people won't tilt their heads and go "Uh?" |D;

Hmmm.... My fursona has
My fursona has always been (I think...) the first and original Martisol. A grey Arabian/Thoroughbred Mix, she was actually my 2nd OC. My first OC was a Chocolate brown with golden blonde mane and tail Rocky Mountain Mare, Candy, who I realized I hadn't given my personality to and I wanted an OC that did that. So I created Marti. Her name came from the Spanish name "Marisol" which I thought was "Martisol" but I liked it with the T so... lol.
She's gone through changes herself, mainly with her markings. She's gone from that blanket of spots on her backend to just a few little dots in a pattern on her left side, with a matching reflection on her right shoulder (Because when I sketched her, everyone kept saying it looked like she had pants on >8| ). She also gained 2 white stockings. She looks like this now. The only thing I'm not changing marking-wise is the blaze on her head, which makes her unique.
I've been thinking about making my own species, most likley based off the [url=]Mandarmos[/url], which is a creature I created in Spore. I dunno... I think they're cool anyway.
I probably didn't help any either. Basically, I think my point it (if I do have a point here) that your fursona should be based off of you. What you like, what you don't like, etc. And don't be afraid to change it up a little here in there.
