I wanted to see what everyone thought about this before I began to plan.

Anyway, I started thinking about things I could do to help. I realized that people say they have a hard time reading the stories online, so I thought that it would be cool to make hard copies of my stories when all three are finished, and autograph them as well. I was considering keeping a minimal amount of the proceeds to help with shipping and making them and sending the rest of the proceeds to Tale of Tales, but I changed my mind on that. I think sending ToT everything would be better since I had to planned to donate some money anyway. So that will be my gift to them. I may even throw in a little more.

I will collect the money through PayPal, though if I have to get money orders, ect, I'll just transfer the funds from my own account and cash the money order. Also I could send it through USPS in Media Mail (has to be books and I believe things like this), which is a very inexpensive way to send stuff.

I have to consider several things before I begin this, though, and I need as much imput as I can get on this (Text in italics are my current thoughts on each part):

1. How much should I charge for them?
I'm not sure what price to put on them, but all I can say is the more donated, the more that would go to ToT. The range I was thinking was anywhere from $10 to $20, and remember the more made and sold, the more that would benefit ToT, too.

What we also could do is have a minimal amount ($10-15 was what I was considering), which means that whoever buys a copy can include extra if they'd like to donate to ToT.

A basic rundown of how much would be donated depending on the prices (based on having 20 copies and excluding extra donations):

$10 x 20 = $200
$12 x 20 = $240
$15 x 20 = $300
$20 x 20 = $400

2. And finally, the overall interest in this...is it something you would actually want to buy?
I would love to put these together, not only to help ToT out, but also so that it would be easier for TEF players to enjoy my stories without having to read them online. Plus I think autographing them would be pretty cool too!

It will be a while before I can have them ready, of course, because I'm currently writing Divine Protection, but I would love some feedback on this. My goal would be to raise at least $200 USD for ToT!

Oh and I think I've got the ok to use the binding machine at my mom's work. I'll just have to take them there once I get all the pages printed.


Updates -

I basically have the OK from my mom to do this, but on my free time of course. I still can use some ideas, but if you want to submit some artwork to be included, feel free to. I may not use everything (depends on how much I get), but I was considering maybe three or so artworks for each story.

That means that I will need some that are relevant to the last story once it starts getting written.

Anyway, Michael has let me know that they have a Paypal account, and all the funds collected will be transferred into Euros through Paypal. I really hope this helps them out, and I can't wait to start working on it.

Oh, and I bought some postcards from my college to be included. It will be like an extra gift for everyone who buys one, since it would be like an exclusive thing to my area (plus you'd have a picture of part of my college!)

One last thing real quick, anyone who offered to do art (Rowan, Echo, and Quamar have offered this so far) to be included, if you'd like to start working on them, feel free to. Please make them relevant to the stories, can be any part in any of them. I would like to limit artworks per story, though. I don't know how many just yet, but I suppose if you want to start on them, then I can make selections along the way.

Either way, I'll definately edit the entries on here to display them! I know I need to start working on the last story so the ideas for the artwork are thought up....

A few new ideas!!
- Art contest to determine the book's cover-art (will be voted on by TEF players to determine the winner)
- An alternate ending to Divine Protection made just for the buyers of the book.

Decisions Made-
- I have a postcard that will be included with it of the University of South Alabama (my college)
- Probably will do 20 copies
- Will autograph each copy using my real name plus drawing Quad's pictogram
- Will include some color artwork related to the stories from TEF players
- Binding
- Plan to include page numbers, index, ect.
- Shipping will probably be free regardless of your location

And I think I only want 3 artworks per story (so 9 in total +1 for coverart)

I don't know how I will pick, though. I guess it depends on how much it costs to include more than that. There *may* be more than 9, but that's not a promise.
