Hurricane Harvey Check-In

Hi all,

I live in Southeast Texas. Many places around me have been devastated by the floods from Hurricane Harvey.

I and my family are safe. We suffered no flood damage. We are still watching the nearby river. I have already headed to higher ground, and my parents will follow if the waters rise (they're stubborn, but not foolish).

I thought it would be neat to have a Hurricane Harvey check-in for those of us who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Glad you are alright, we're

Glad you are alright, we're closer to DFW so all good over here, know a lot of people taking their boats and going down to help, thoughts are with anyone that's dealing with the aftermath of Harvey.

Good to know others here are okay!
I'm far enough north to have avoided the worst of it, although my immediate family was flooded in and lost power for a time. A lot of my hometown is boat-only access right now, but my parents' house has survived and they've finally been able to reach my aunt and uncle who were trapped in their house. Not sure on structural damages so far, but the people I love are safe, if shaken. Really upsetting to see my home underwater, though :/
Best wishes to all of you riding it out in Apocalypse Central.
Only in Texas can you have a drought, a solar eclipse, a hurricane, tornadoes, and a flood all in one week and still call it relatively normal...

I'm glad you all are okay. My aunt was lucky in Corpus Christi and just lost her power.

Only got grazed by the hurricane, but sending well wishes and the best for those who were directly affected. 3: Very glad to know that most of you guys are alright, too. Hope everyone's as okay as they can be that were a lot closer and that help and support comes, you're in my thoughts. ♥

Where I am we got a serious stray band from Harvey smash into us today out of the blue. (30% chance of rain today my ass).
