Humans Have Slaves

In this world the humans have enslaved species of animals to take from them what they want [ milk , eggs , wool ] to sell it for a profit which they keep for themselves without a thought of thanks for thoe they took it from. And then as an act of final exploitation, the humans kill their slaves so that they can enjoy the taste of their flesh and again make a profit from its sale. Not a thought of thanks for those they took it from, not an ounce of sypathy for the concious beings that were forced into this human centred destiny. No, they get angry if you speak of compasion towards the animals..

I fully agree with you, Larr, and I think it a sad thing. But I think it's a bad idea to go to war with people over it. (Not that I'm saying you were, just generally... *glares warningly at people who she feels will blow this up into drama*)

Aww, I agree with you, Larr.

Aww, I agree with you, Larr. I used to be a vegetarian, until I realized that my body wasn't faring so well without it's due amount of protein. x_____x Not that a vegetarian lifestyle is unhealthy, it's a wonderful lifestyle to take on, if you know what you're doing. And if you like veggies. ;D I don't. :c

Butumyeah, basically, I feel guilty every time I eat meat. :c And, without stirring up the embers of an old argument, I'd have to say that what really gets me are the people who whine and say 'but it's naaaaaturaaaal!'. People like to compare our mindless self-indulgent slaughter of would-be-healthy animals to the lifestyles of wolves, who hunt for their food. Thing is, wolves pick off the weak and sickly, which helps preserve the balance of the eco-system. And they don't breed millions of cattle into tiny pens, to wallow in their own feces, being fed rejected-meat from their siblings (mad cow epidemic, anyone?), until their inevitable (and not always clean) death by machinery. :|

But um. Sorry. Not to get on a tangent, or anything. Ahem. >_____>

I like my meat, fur, and leather -- but I don't like where it comes from.

*sigh* I'm sorry if I sounded a little standoffish Larr

I really do agree with most of what you said; animals should be treated kindly and the acts of some industries are disgusting, but I guess what I was trying to say was that there really is nothing wrong with eating meat, humans evolved as omnivores. However I think what annoyed me about how you worded our blog was how you kept saying 'humans', as if all humans are evil farmers who don't care about their animals...which is entirely untrue! It's actually in a farmers best interest to make sure his animals are kept happy and healthy, looking at things from a strictly profit standpoint.

I just wanted to apologize for not stating my opinion better before
