Is second life appropriate for kids? like kids the age of 11 and over? Because i have been trying to find a wolf game and you can be a wollf the game and i wanted to play second life to be a wolf! any idea if its ok for preteens?

I believe it's intended for people 18 and over, but there is "Teen" Second Life for kids around 13 years.

This is my personal opinion,

This is my personal opinion, but I don't think any game or community that is played by adults and older teens by majority is appropriate for preteens or young children(even this community site) because there isn't as much control over the content they are exposed to. Second Life, I know, has some very dark corners.

No offense, but some places just aren't for kids in my eyes. Even here, there are often posts depicting death, and occasionally worse. There are no rules to prevent these posts and I personally like that freedom.

Ahem.. anyway, yeah..

I've got to agree with 3,

I've got to agree with 3, here. While I understand that it's 'just a game', Second Life is highly populated by a lot of adults, and there is a great deal of really, really unsuitable content there.

I'm sorry, I really don't know, but I wouldn't concern myself with it too much if I were you. Next to nothing could stop an older player from lurking about there. Some people, wicked people, prey on others on the internet in any way they can. I'm not even sure if I should go into detail.

Then again, I'm not anyone's parent.

You should definately stay

You should definately stay clear of Second Life. It's not the kind of community for kids. I watched my mom try it once, ( For some sort of job, I don't really remember what it was for... ) and she had not been there five minutes before she was cussed out and stumbled upon mature content. It's not that fun anyway, you wouldn't enjoy it.
And as 3 said, there are bad people on the internet, and Second Life is like a beehive for them. Please, just stay away from it...
