Chapter 8 - Another Heart Calls

Tuna, RedKora, and Tamerlane surrounded the fawn. "Pent, what have you done?", RedKora cried. Tamerlane stomped the ground angrily, and Tuna lowered her antlers at the fawn. Many other deer had gathered around them, all angry and confused.

Pent backed away from the trio already threatening him, and bumped into Lorak, who scratched at him, shoving the fawn into Taliene. The doe stomped at him, and Pent stumbled to his feet and almost ran into Leo, who growled at him. Several other deer approached, all wanting a piece of Pent.

Mazey and Auriea arrived to find many of the deer stomping on the fawn. "Hey! Hey! Get off of him!", Mazey called, nudging many of the deer and moving her way toward the fawn. Auriea, however, was distracted by the fallen statues. "This isn't good...", she said to herself.

The deer backed away as the doe collapsed and nursed Pent. The fawn trembled and cried, his body already battered and sore. "I...I...", he tried to say, but the words would not come out. Mazey nuzzled him, "Shh...just rest", she soothed the fawn.

At this time, a ball of light fell from the sky, coming to a rest on the hill and forming a deer silhouette. The light faded and Michael appeared, a look of shock and disbelief on his face. "The statues! What happened to the statues?", he questioned at once. Auriea approached him, "Hang on, it was a...", she began, but Michael walked toward the downed fawn. "Is this fawn responsible?", he asked. Many of the deer around nodded, and Michael looked down to Mazey, "Back away from him. He deserves no mercy."

Mazey looked up to the god, "He didn't mean it.", she tried to say, but Michael stomped his hoof, "I won't ask again, Mazey." The doe lowered her head and rose to her feet, backing up. Pent looked up at the god in terror, as Michael rose and began to stomp on the fawn.

I didn't mean to leave so abruptly, but I wanted to talk to Pegasicorn to make sure I didn't upset her. I thought I did something bad, and now I feel worse for not saying goodbye to you.

I didn't know what set you wanted, so I'm sorry about that too.

The chat froze on me a few times, so this is in segments (Stuff in bold is just hilarious!)

Chapter 7 - Zephyrnaut

Eva sat up, adjusting her body so she could see Zephyr better. The doe knelt by the bed so her face met the fawn's. Eva was surprisingly tiny compared to Zephyr, but the fawn was overjoyed to finally meet the deer.

"Things will begin to happen," Eva began, "And time is short. This prophecy I have for you will come true if you make it back to the Endless Forest in time." Zephyr nodded. She didn't question how Eva knew these things - there was no time to ask.

Eva cleared her throat. "There must be a union between innocence and guilt, and between life and death. When this is complete, a transformation will happen. Every deer in the Endless Forest will be forever changed.", the fawn said the prophecy.

Zephyr slowly nodded. The words didn't make sense, but Eva assured her, "You will know what to do when you return. I do not know what is to happen, but I do know I am to come with you. Now...", she climbed to her feet, "I have one favor to ask." Zephyr nodded, "Anything.", she said. The fawn smiled, and walked to the doe. She sat and rested her head on Zephyr's chest.

Zephyr, a little surprised, lowered her head and nuzzled the little white fawn. Eva closed her eyes, and said, "Your fur...you feel just like my mother."

The doe and the fawn sat there for a few moments, before Zephyr asked, "Eva?" The fawn didn't move, and Zephyr nudged her a little. Eva's body relaxed and came to rest on the bed.

She had died in Zephyr's arms.

Axie backed away from the door, as Zephyr nudged it open. She stepped into the dark hallway, looking to him for the moment. The two nuzzled, Zephyr began to cry on his shoulder. "How could I, Axie? How could I let her die?", she questioned herself.

"Shh...there was nothing you could have done.", Axie assured her.

Today our 12-year old poodle had a heart attack. I was at work when my mom called and said she had taken her to the vet and Jeni had been put to sleep. We just buried her in the yard, and of course it's pouring here so it made it that much harder to do the job.

She was a really good girl. She loved her cookies, enjoyed having rides with me to pick up my dad or to the park, and taking long naps. She also loved to come along with Brandy and me on our afternoon walks in the neighborhood.

Below are the pictures of her from earliest to latest. I happened to take some pictures of her a few days ago.

Hey guys, I've decided to play Pent for a while, but I need help coming up with a set for him.



For now I will have him wearing what I call the "Pronghorn" set:



But I don't want this to be his perminant set, so if you have any ideas, please let me know.

I'd love to do something with the Antelope Mask since I almost never see it worn, but it doesn't have to be that mask. Or maybe something using the Trumpet Antlers!

(And I forgot to mention, I love white/light colored bellies on pelts!)

And yeah, Pent is a guy, and as far as his personality goes, he's a little crazy.

Here's something you can do if you're bored! Pull up the Players list, and take the top 10 (or however many you'd like) pages of people. From the list grab every name that you know, and make a list like I have below. Then, take your MP3 player or playlist, and let it pick a song for each of them!

If you want to, you can also pick the songs yourself, but since I know so many people on here, I decided to let my playlist do the choosing. And if you're someone I know and I left you out, let me know and I'll add you!

You may get lucky and get a song from the Bambi 2 soundtrack, or you might wind up with a song from The Killers, Fall Out Boy, Red Hot Chili Peppers, or one of my local bands. I have a lot of different kinds of music on my MP3 player so it's going to be crazy to see what everyone gets. (Some people might be "unlucky" enough to get a song from the Happy Feet soundtrack XD XD XD ). I won't skip songs already done, so some people might get the same song.

I got my rock hammer/pick axe today, which is the tool a geologist uses. So not only can people identify me as a geologist if they see me walking around, I can also bust some skulls!

(Not really of course, but I could if I wanted to!)

Guys I'm sorry for the artdump I just posted, but I was a little troubled that the drawings only had a few comments among them. I realized that you guys probably didn't know that I was posting under "Zephyr" rather than Quad, so you may not have known who that was.

So I reposted them under this account and removed them from Zephyr's account. I'll use her account for something else, but as of right now the Leafbook will be posted by Quad.

I've been finding myself to be a little bored during an hour break between classes at school, so I decided to buy a sketchbook and some drawing pencils to pass the time. I got a sketchbook made from Nepalese paper and some graphite pencils, and went to work drawing.



Hence the name Leafbook.

While this little project is just for me to pass time with, I may consider doing requests, but I haven't decided what my rules will be yet - how many I will accept at a time; restrictions on what is requested; ect. So for right now I want to draw a few more sketches before I make this open to those. Also you'll see that the subject matter may not necessarily be TEF deer - I plan to do a few drawings related to my Divine stories. I may also do non-TEF art, such as a drawing of Brandy (my dachshund), and any of my older characters like QuadRaptor the cyborg or Victor the Goat, They won't always have that extra writing on it like the first drawing, but I will do that when I feel that there is something that needs to be said about the subject.

So here's the first sketch in the book. I wanted to draw someone from TEF, but it was hard to pick one particular deer to draw. So I thought about who I felt deserved a sketch, and decided to draw...

I went with an old tradition my brother used where whenever he started a sketchbook (or in some cases, a story), he would invoke a muse. I asked him if it mattered whether the muse was male or female, and he said it wasn't a big deal, so I decided to invoke a muse fitting for my drawings and interest.
