Work

I swept my hands around the pan in a circular motion, the soapy rag conforming to the grooves. I'd been working for about ten minutes on this pan, and the caked-on black grease wasn't going anywhere.

"How long has it been since you've washed these pans, Mom?" I called out to the living room. Nobody answered. I shook my head in resignation and set the pan on the drying rack.

"You know, Mrs. Odisark, Plumbing can't be fixed with duct tape." Vipins muffled voice came from under the other sink. It had been broken for years. Perhaps this was the reason why it still didn't work. My gaze lingered on him as he struggled to rip the tape from the pipes.

"How should I know that, I'm just a woman," Mother's high voice shuffled from the living room to the linen closet in the hallway, "and stop calling me Mrs. Odisark. Call me Mom, or whatever you fancy."

She was quite good at selective hearing, I concluded, as I hung the dirty dish rag over the faucet neck. Water flecks were scattered all around the sink and walls. I'd made quite a mess. I ripped a square of paper towel off its roll and blotted up the aftermath.

"Oooh...," my mother crooned from the kitchen doorway. I whirled around, slightly startled at how quickly she made it from the hallway to the kitchen. "...Isn't this quaint."

I stared at her expectantly as I wiped my hands on my shirt. Vipin seemed to pay no mind as his work of dismantling the shoddy plumbing job continued without hesitation.

"This looks like a scene from a Better Homes and Gardens magazine from the '50's."

I blinked, and Vipin looked at Mother through the pipes.

"Y'know, with the woman cooking and cleaning and the man doing all the dirty work." She clasped her hands in front of her, like an innocent schoolgirl, 50 years older, with grey-streaked sandy blonde hair, in sweatpants and a faded yellow T shirt with an embroidered white flower on it.

You'll Catch Your Death

Snow whipped and swirled around the house, scattering the dead leaves and whistling and rattling through the rafters, the mere sound of it chilled even those who were comfortably wrapped in blankets, such as Calamity and Aspen were. The dim flickering light of candles danced cheerfully on their faces, making a serene, calming atmosphere. Calamity took advantage of that and was soon asleep, her head resting on a reluctant Aspen's shoulder. Aspen looked exasperatedly at the slumbering girl, but sighed in resignation and gently laid back against the couch so as not to disturb her.

Meanwhile, on a shorter couch, Vipin and GoldenWinged were nestled together under a thick afghan, the muted TV's light flickering blue on their faces. Judging by the infomercials cropping up, it was getting pretty late. GoldenWinged could see out of the corner of her eye Vipin's head dip lower and lower as sleep began to overtake him. She draped her arm, around his shoulders and held him close. He reacted by playfully squeezing her middle with his arms already wrapped around her. He rested his head on her hips.

"I love you," he said into her oversized T-shirt.

GoldenWinged let out a surprised giggle. They had been silent for a little more than an hour, letting the warmth shared between them permeate into quiescence.

"I love you too," she whispered, just loud enough for Vipin to hear.

Vipin sighed contentedly and rubbed his cheek against her side, and became still as he drifted to sleep.

sadness lfdfk///

Meh. Stuff has changed.

Whenever I sign in as GW its like... she makes my mood change. She just wanders aimlessly around the forest. I get her near some groups of deer, but after a while, I/she becomes sad and runs away, but I/she doesnt want to be alone either. I see that Vipin's looking for other alternatives. This discourages me more. I find peace in playing Helios. It's like a new start. Helios is supposed to be slightly aloof, but I can't help it, I bring him into groups of deer and have fun, something I haven't had in TEF for a long time. Maybe I've grown out of GW. Maybe she's become a root of depression for me. At any rate, I seem to avoid her more, because whenever I think of her, I become depressed.

So, I guess... she won't be on unless I feel like it (which I prolly wont for a while) or if someone asks me to bring her on.

Sorry Sarie. I guess you will be free to choose a more active, happy mate for Vipin, if you so wish it.

The Journal of HelioSphere

30 November 2008. 336th day. Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent. Winter Solstice approaching in T-Minus 19 days, 18 hours, 46 minutes, 18 seconds.

My second day in the forest was as fun as the first. I now possess an alteration to my visage, and I absolutely adore it. As I've been exploring about the forest, several members of the native fauna have approached me. One specific instance of this was when my human wanted me to come close to her for her to take pictures. A strange dark deer felt the desire to socialize with me, though I tried to tell the deer I was in the middle of something. The deer took quite a fondness to me, none-the-less.

After this tedious image capture, I ran about for a while, exploring the nooks and crannies of the forest that my previous small form could not reach or ascend. I ended my gallivanting at the edge of pond and napped for a bit. A little while later I opened my eye and saw that my pelt was a dark blue, my quiet whistling mask was changed into purple-hued hands over my eyes, and my antlers were now much heavier and sharper, curling under my ears and branching out into thin picks. The same deer made it a mission to modify my visage into his or her image. I was so astounded by my change in appearances I accidentally made it apparent that I was awake, but I stayed as still as possible. It didn't fool the deer. I got up after that and walked around with the mystery deer, partaking in his or her version of "fun."

We recieved very interesting and curious looks from the passers-by, mainly fawns who found it amusing.

Journal Entry 11.14.08

I swear this is a curse.

I've gotten into this habit of casting spells on the sleeping deer, see...

I put a different pelt/mask/antler on them, and then I go with whatever set goes with it. So I got this stag, sleeping in a mushroom circle. All other deer were sleeping. Cool. I gave him the Noh mask, so I was like cool, the Noh set. Just when I was going to seal his set off (meaning falling asleep in the mushroom circle to gain the magic to turn him into a small woodland creature), a fawn entered the forest and cast an antler spell on him.

Do you KNOW how long it took to complete the set?! *fumes and stomps away*

[lolsorry. GW's mad. She hasn't seen Vipz in a while. >>]

ReBirth :: Chapter 1 (lol grammatical correction))

((And finally, I start ReBirth! There are some similarities to Anzels story, I'm sorry :C but GoldenWinged had been a character in my stories for a while now. Hope you dont mind. ^^;;))

She had been running for what seemed like hours, and she couldn't stop. Her chest hurt as it heaved for more air. Her legs ached, threatening to collapse underneath her. But she couldn't stop, lest she suffer a gruesome demise.

Her pursuers were laughing derisively, nipping at her heels. They showed no sign of fatigue in their twisted black faces, no sign of remorse in their cold grey eyes.

Heat lightning cracked the sky overhead a bone dry forest. It was getting dark, and GoldenWinged could barely make out anything ahead of her, unable to judge whether shadows were living or inanimate, or shadows that would harm her or drive her pursuers away.

The unforgiving surface of a tree nearly knocked her unconscious as she ran headlong into it. Slightly dazed, she tried to run around it but to no avail. She had run into a hollow part of a large old tree. She was cornered, and they had caught up to her. Two or three black figures entered the tree's cove, pacing in a half circle around her, chuckling in low tones, mumbling amongst themselves.

"What do you want with me?!" GoldenWinged yelled frantically at the figures, brilliant golden eyes darting around for any way to escape. She had to get out of here. She had just birthed a healthy litter of pups, and they would die without her. She had just went on a routine hunt, when this band of wolves showed up, and chased her. And now she was going to die in this hollow tree in a lonely part of the forest unless she could find an opening for escape.

i dont talk much.

:|

I have no friends on here. Srsly. No, I'm not looking for attention. I'm just saying that the only deer GW really knows and who really likes her is Vipin, and he and Sarie are uberawesome but well... GW feels ignored by everyone else, and her human feels the same way.

I'm just being brutally honest here, this is why GW is not in the forest that often~

I mean, if this game is all about not using human language, why do I get the feeling I have to be superinvolved in the forums and community to really be liked?

Sorry, I'm just on a rant. Gnite folks.

ReBirth :: A Short Story (pilot)

Authors Note: I've decided to hop on the bandwagon and create my own story too! Dunno how far this will go, but eh, I'll have fun with it. This is a pilot short story, to see how well I get on with this. XD Its not the beginning or anything, just a short excerpt. Actually the scenes in this story are sortof derived from around chapter 7-8 of SarieBearies "Magpie Songs" story. 8D Well, here goes nothin'

::Revive::
-A Short Story-

The steady drone that reverberated from the inside of the Old Oak was a incessant pressure on GoldenWinged's head and it was beginning to give her a headache. She hated this tree, she would never be inside it on any normal day. However, she had business to attend to....

As her eyes began to close, she noticed two deer figures coming her way, leaning on each other as if they were one big eight-legged deer. When the figures hit the shade of the Oak, they could be identified as Vipin leaning on his younger sister, Aspen. Her eyes snapped open, getting up half in relief of seeing them and being out of that irritating noisy tree.

Her head flicked to the both of them, judging their looks. Aspen, a shorter, more muscular doe, was trying to stand her straightest, to keep Vipin on four hooves. Her jaw clenched and her lips thinned as she nudged him to go a few feet farther. Her eyes were alight with determination, wanting everyone around her to know she was strong enough to support herself and her brother. As she neared GoldenWinged her expression softened a bit, but a stoic look seemed to linger in her eyes.
The stag that she was supporting was none other than her older brother, Vipin. His gentle masculine face was contorted in pain as he winced with every step, finally coming to rest inside the Oak, with GoldenWinged and Aspen to help him down.
