Extra Note...
Vasska does not know that he's fighting. This means that he will "play" with anyone: stags, does, minis, or fawns. He has been known to severely damage his playmates, so attack at your own risk. Do not expect him to treat your fawn or doe gently out of some sort of innate moral understanding. He has none.

Illrose still didn't
"What's wrong with you, I thought you cared about him?!" She snapped in the end, when the gray stag seemed to completely ignore Henna and herself, and sat back down.
( Hope it's okay I posted this here. n_n )
(LMAO. I like your post
The doe's words were hazy, through a fog of hunger, thirst, and hours spent turning his attention inward. They took a while to register. When they finally came through, he found himself looking at her. Actually looking at her, although his mind couldn't place where he knew her from. She was unimportant, just like everyone else. Meaningless. Pointless. Why she insisted on bothering him, he couldn't begin to comprehend.
I thought you cared about him.
It was hell getting rid of a burn. Cared about him? No, this burn would peel. He just needed to give it time. He wished he had the willpower to make it to the water. Water would sooth it away so much quicker.
He turned his attention back inside, away from her pestering. She would go away. She had to go away.
For a moment her eyes locked
"Vodun." She then said, her voice low but urgent.
"Please, tell me what have happened between you and Gustiro. Why are you both torturing yourself like this? Please, tell me!" It was like something cold grabbed her heart. What could have happened between the two stags, that made them do this?
Vodun sighed deeply. He'd
Ignore her.
Her. Illrose. The scent crawled across his senses, and something bubbled in his chest. Pitiful. Pitiful that Gustiro had never gotten over her. That he still burned for her. It was pointless. Easier to let go. Out the corner of his eye, he could see her shadow. Unmoving. Her presence drew others. Noisy. He had to get rid of her somehow.
He opened his mouth to speak, but his throat clenched around his words, forcing him into a coughing fit. More discomfort. If only he could make it to the water. So quick, so painless... When the fit ceased, he tried again. Words with spiked tips, muffled by the grass.
"Go away," he managed. Go away. Let go. Fade. His eyes slipped closed, and he watched the light dance inside his eyelids. His voice turned low, delirious. "Don't need you. Never needed... ...Doesn't need me... All should just... go away..."
Now and then - while awaiting
"Doesn't need you?!" She snarled, stomping a hoof in front of the gray stag, as if to get his attention.
"Go and take a look at him before you say that again. You are both withering away because of this, you are hurting yourself, each other and everyone that care about you. He needs you, Vodun! The aggression disappeared as she spoke, quickly replaced with sadness.
His mind turned in on itself,
His eyes snapped back open as something hit the ground, and the forest's colors swirled around him nauseatingly until he regained himself. Words. So many words. Go away. How was that not clear enough?
He let out a low snort, again rolling his eyes to stare at her, pressing down his venom. He didn't want to be angry. He wanted to be numb. Feel nothing. But he'd been filled with so much feeling, it was difficult. It would take practice to regain himself. Hating Illrose did nothing.
"Stop lying, doe," he rasped. What did she have to gain from this? Was it some sort of strange revenge for something he'd done in the past? If so, getting him riled up was punishment enough. His heart was pumping faster, and his stomach, sensing this increase in activity, gave a low growl of protest. He sighed again, frustrated at his waking self. Frustrated at his frustration. This wasn't the way to do it. He sat up, wondering if he had enough energy to drive her off. To move. To fade properly.
"You've done enough. It's enough. He showed me. Showed me there was nothing left for me. I tried to draw it out, but there was nothing. Isn't that enough? What do you want? How much can you hate me that you won't give me peace?" His voice croaked, barely understandable.
Once again she had to take a
"I am not lying." Her voice was completely calm now, just as her body language.
"If he didn't need you, if he didn't care, do you believe he would have hurt himself like he do then? Not only to himself, but those who care about him too." She stopped for a moment, looking at Vodun with an almost worried look on her face. And this time not for Gustiro, but for Vodun himself.
"I understand something terrible have happened, but this is not the way to fix it. You have many here that want to help you through this, if you'll only let them."
Vodun stared at her a moment
His burn ached.
"Go away..." he said again, but his voice was too quiet, lacking conviction. Wondering why Illrose would lie. Wondering why she hated. Wondering why, and not knowing... But knowing he couldn't believe.
Again, she returned the
"No." She calmly replied.
"If you and Gustiro keep going on like this, you will both die. That will remove the pain you feel, but at the same time it will hurt all those who care about you. Do you want them to feel the same way as you do?"
Vodun kept his eyes downcast.
Something in the doe's words caught his attention, however.
"What..." he paused, eyes flicking up. He shouldn't ask. It didn't matter. Illrose was lying. It was all a lie. And even if it were true, that Gustiro were somehow... injured... It wasn't because of him. He had nothing left to give Vodun. Vo had taken it all. All that was meant for him. Still, his burn ached, and the poppy petals made his stomach turn. "What...?" What happened... What is he doing... What's wrong with him... Is he alright... Is he safe... His eyes were unfocused, looking not at Illrose, but at Gustiro's image in his mind. A Gustiro that was battered and bruised and bleeding, just like he almost always was. A Gustiro who had fought. Who bore battle scars and fresh wounds. Vodun's eyes grew hard, and he glared at Illrose, his numb retreat spoiled again by that burning emotion... anger... "What are you doing here? Why aren't you taking care of him?"
Her head tilted slightly, as
"I've tried, but it's not enough. Many of us have tried to get him to eat, or to drink, but he refuses. But he have spoken of you, he mentioned your name. He needs you. I think you are the only one he will listen to." Her eyes were pleading, pleading for Vodun to help.
"Obstinate..." he murmured,
He took a deep breath, heaving to his feet. His knees wobbled beneath him.
And yet, knowing what he knew now, now that his blood was pumping and his mind was clear, he couldn't simply fade. It made things more difficult. If Gustiro had nothing left for him, not even anger, then he would feel no pain if Vodun satisfied his curiosity. If the doe was a liar, which was still probable, then this would cause her to leave. It was the best choice.
"Where is he, then," Vodun asked through heavy breaths, head hanging close to the ground, too heavy to lift. When he'd collapsed that day, he'd receded into himself completely, the forest disappearing into the back of his senses. If Gustiro was across the forest, well... That would make his journey into sleep all the faster.
"Yes, he is." No doubt about
"He is in the stream over there." Illrose nodded in the direction of Kody, where others also had been gathering earlier. She knew Dinah Moon was with Gustiro at the moment, but hopefully the white doe wouldn't make any trouble for them.
"Come, you can lean toward me if you need support."
(Just kinda... shifting this
