Curious?

I've run into a bit of a mental block when it comes to my characters (mainly Teradeer and Queze) and could use some other minds to help me. If you guys have ever wondered something, anything, about either of these two, now would be the time to ask.

What I'm hoping for is for someone to ask a question I haven't asked myself, that way I'll have to actually think about something I don't already know. I hope that made some sort of sense! lol

Going to ask a generic, out

Going to ask a generic, out of curiosity question XD

If Teradeer was stuck alone on an island and could only have three things, what three things would it have?

Quad: I don't think Teradeer

Quad: I don't think Teradeer would actually go for material possessions, since it has all it needs biologically already and doesn't need to eat or drink. I would say that it would bring with it three strangers, two of which were good friends (of each other) and two of whom were enemies. That way it would at least be entertained.

That's good thinking on

That's good thinking on Teradeer's part. - My questions are all related to him. I would ask some about Queze but I unfortunately wouldn't know where to begin.

- Does he like to fight... even though how easily broken down he is?
- How open minded is he?
- Can he love?
- Despite being how he is(Just for curiosity's sake), can he reproduce?

- What does he like to do?
- Does he have any special skills?
- Does he have a hobby?
- If one were to eat him what would happen?

And... maybe some more later.

Sianna those are some good

Sianna those are some good ones indeed, I had to give them quite a bit of thought.

- No, Teradeer does not enjoy fighting. It finds it boring (due to myself finding it bothersome/boring to act out In Game). It does however, enjoy intimidating others with it's appearance and finds watching combat very interesting.
- Fairly open minded, but does not tolerate stupidity well.
- No; Teradeer can feel a connection and friendship but I don't see actual love in it's future.
- I suppose so, if it wanted to...but I don't see that happening. That and the lack of genitalia would be problematic lol.

- Lots of stuff, but cuddling with close acquaintances is a big #1 enjoyment. It also loves to scare Dag while in 'Terafawn' shape.
- Besides decomposing and biological morph-ability, Teradeer can do anything I can do but doesn't display these skills very often if at all.
- Teradeer's hobby would be being sarcastic...it's as close to outright aggression as Teradeer gets In Game and is impossible to detect (what with the vagueness of Forest Actions).
- This I have thought about quite a bit actually and in the end the outcome for someone eating a piece of Teradeer would be it's mood at the time. Teradeer would be quite willing to be consumed by someone it deemed as a close friend or to help out a scavenging vulture, but I could also see it allowing someone to consume it so that it could strangle/drown/acid melt them from the inside.

Dear lord I love Teradeer.

Does Queze prefer to run, or walk?

Teradeer and Queze have both been given magical ipods with three songs on them that they would enjoy. What songs are they?

Queze and Teradeer:

Do you have any great rational or irrational fears or phobias? If so, what are the origins of or reasons behind them?

What are your attitudes regarding material wealth?

Is there any race, creed, alignment, religion, class, profession, political viewpoint, or the like against which you is strongly prejudiced, and why?

What would you do if someone else attempted to (or successfully did) kill under their "wrong" circumstances, what would be your reaction?

What do you consider to be the worst crime someone could commit and why?

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

Queze runs, usually. He was

Queze runs, usually. He was never a patient fellow.

Queze's Ipod would contain: 'A Different Drum' and 'Signal To Noise' by Peter Gabriel as well as 'The Call Of The Serpent' by Sephiroth

Teradeer's Ipod would contain: 'Blackout' by Muse, 'Boogeyman' by Johnny Hollow, and 'We're All Mad Here' by Tom Waits.

Teradeer shares my phobia/fascination with neck injury as well as things that shouldn't move being animate, specifically things that move along the ground. I've always had the image of a face moving along the floor haunting me, so Teradeer embodies and lets me explore that fear in a 'safe' way.

Queze has the very rational (for him anyway) fear of disappointing his deity, because the Aztec Gods aren't exactly of the 'pat on the back, better luck next time' variety.

To Teradeer material wealth doesn't mean as much as interesting objects, another fascination we share. The actual value of the object isn't as important as the 'character' of that object, as far as we are concerned. Queze has been around crazy wealth his entire life (he's worn more gold than I'll ever hope to even see in my lifetime lol) but it doesn't really phase him. He values physical power more than material power.

Queze holds extreme bias towards Christianity because of his historical experience with Spanish Conquistadors but also respects that they were just stronger than him. Teradeer on the other-hand tries not to be bias but if I had to pinpoint a particularly strong one, it would be that feeling superior to characters whom it finds unoriginal/unthoughtful. Though this is more an internal thought process and spawns from snippets of my own feelings; it rarely ever comes across to anyone but me.

If someone killed someone in a way that Queze deemed wrong he'd attempt to kill the person/thing responsible. No second thoughts.
Teradeer would be disgusted and likely begrudge the character for it, but would not take direct action to safe or prevent the death.

The worse crime, in Queze's eyes would be wasting potential. You don't ignore a god-given gift.
Teradeer would likely consider false hope the worst crime, either having or perpetuating it.

Queze hates charity. To him it breeds weakness in the self and in others.
Teradeer finds the sins far more overrated and would like to see some virtue for a change. lol It's so bitter.

(I hope I got all of those questions, they were fantastic! They really helped!)

Pfft kind of a random other

Pfft kind of a random other question, please bear with me...

If Teradeer and Iugulare got into a fight, who would probably end up eating the other? Or would it be a draw as they'd had a hard time reforming their bodies in the fight?

XD Sorry I hope that's not too morbid

I don't know your deer, but

I don't know your deer, but your answers are interesting :')

lol there isn't much that's

lol there isn't much that's too morbid for me Quad!

I'd have to know more about what exactly Iugulare's goo is like to get a solid answer but one of two possibilities come to mind. Teradeer can change biologically so faced against a fellow 'goo-based' opponent it would likely employ some sort of chemical change, making itself acidic. Far more likely however, would be Teradeer simply puddling on the ground uselessly (that being it's ultimate defense mechanism) in the hopes of annoying Iugulare by being entirely useless as a host :'D lol

Mini: Thanks, I'm glad they are an interesting read! c:
quadraptor's picture

Hmm well Iug's body is viral,

Hmm well Iug's body is viral, but needs a solid body to attach to, so I can see what you mean there. Being acidic would certainly affect her, she'd probably try to latch on but eventually give up on trying to infect Teradeer and move on to someone else.

Hah...I answered my own question. But it helps me understand Teradeer's body better.

/rolls back/ {some of these

/rolls back/
{some of these are phrased as questions because I'm pulling them from my character development notepad xD

I'm tempted to make a blog like this, if I may~}

Teradeer and Queze are now playing chess.
Who wins?

Do either of them cheat? Or attempt to cheat?

Queze and Teradeer:

What was the worst injury you've ever received? How did it happen?

What is the most frightening potential handicap or disfigurement you can conceive of? What makes it so frightening?

What kind of music do they like? Do they like music at all?

If they were about to die, what would they have as their last meal?

Do they have an internal or an external moral code? (Internal would be a something that they've come up with for themselves, external would be something they've had handed to them.)

To what extent are their actions dictated by this code?

Would they be more likely to act for the good of the one, or the good of the many?

Do they know how to eat a pomegranate?

What if they'd been born with a different biological sex? Would they act any differently?

What if they lost a limb?

What ridiculous belief/s did they have as a child? (Did they think the moon really was made of cheese?)

Do they have a strange obsession with something minor?

Mr. Sanguine: you're my hero

Mr. Sanguine: you're my hero right now. ; u ;

Tera: holycrap. this is a track.
if I think of anything good, I'll throw them at you, but for now I'm content letting everyone else ask. -builds a nest and settles down-

Quad: I suspect that Teradeer would, even after being abandoned as a possible host, follow the gooey-stoat around out of curiosity lol, it would have never met another creature with similar abilities before. Sticking out tongue

If you're familiar with Dungeons and Dragons, there is a creature called a Gelatinous Cube. It's that creature that inspired a lot of Teradeer's goo-based abilities.
quadraptor's picture

Hmm one of the inspirations

Hmm one of the inspirations for Iugulare was from the movie Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. This scene in fact...

She moves much like the darkness in the clip, but reforms into her stoat shape when stationary.

Mr.Sanguine: Queze would

Mr.Sanguine:

Queze would SUCK at chess, he doesn't function well in complex situations with multiple factors. Teradeer would be average, but it would outshine Queze easily. It might lose on purpose in an attempt to charm Queze into another game though.

Both wouldn't be opposed to the idea of cheating; Teradeer would be more likely to cheat and might cheat to lose, drawing out the game.

Queze's worst injury (he's suffered multitudes in his lifetimes, many of the nastier ones fatal) would likely have been dying of sickness, more for the mental torment of wasting away than any physical pain.
Teradeer's injury is more obvious, the self-inflicted acid burn that disfigured it's jaw/throat.

Queze is fond of music, but not to the level Teradeer does. Queze enjoys music for the way it gets his blood pumping, his favorite being anything with a heavy beat.

For a last meal Queze would likely end up eating someone as opposed to something, and then be eaten himself. Teradeer would eat something that could save it from death lol beyond that, it would have no use for eating lol.

Queze has a very staunch external code and no actual morals outside of that; his moral compass was entirely produced by his Master, the ex-High Priest of the Serpent.
Teradeer's code revolves most strongly around how I choose to play TEF: it does not lash out because I do not enjoy acting out fights, it is polite because I would rather see other players happy than sad, ect.

These codes control them almost without exception.

Queze would act for the good of the most important, he hasn't blinked an eye at slaughter and would commit any crime as long as the cause jives with his religion.

Queze certainly would eat one, and I suspect that Teradeer would figure it out (since I'm pretty sure I know how).

For Teradeer, having no gender, the point is moot but Queze would have been vastly different if born a female. He would not be himself at all; he would likely end up playing a mother role in his own existence. The son female Queze would bear would likely become the Queze character you know.

Queze would have been traumatized, the loss of that much physical ability would break him, if he even survived the injury itself. Teradeer would...just regrow said limb lol if it wanted to that is.

Queze would have believed anything his masters told him...this was likely abused, or you could consider the entire belief that slaughtering for a god is abuse. That your pick!

Queze doesn't really, though Teradeer enjoys finding dark patches of purple soil on The Forest floor to sit in.
