Cry's never been compared to a doll before so it surprised him a little bit and it surprised him to be talking about dolls in general. But he didn't mind.
To be honest, this was just as unexpected to the other male; his first comment had been a blurted thought aloud, and now this stringless marionette was speaking with him. The conversation held a bizarre topic when it came to first impressions...
He swallowed and gave a slight shrug while standing a bit more erect to gather himself. "You know... to have somebody care for you. No troubles."
"Humans have to please others, too... You can't escape that no matter what you are. If it isn't impressive then nobody feels it's worth it."
A frown. Chilled hands slid into his pockets as he scuffed his shoe against the ground a bit, only looking up to give a crooked smile. "Didn't mean to intrude, though; it was certainly nice to meet you. I'm still a bit amazed. Ahhm..."
His head tilted with grit teeth in patient embarrassment to hear what this stranger's name was.
He opened his mouth but didn't know what else to say to that so he didn't, just blinked at the one before him. "You may call me Cry. And you didn't.. it was nice to meet you too."
He brushed some of his white hair out of his face, a little cloud forming when he breathed out into the cold air. "What's your name?"
"My name is Lancelot," the boy smiled. "Your name should be easy to remember if I ever see you again. Promise me you'll take care of yourself? I mean... I know it's still a strange thought, but I sort of feel protective of you seeing as how you resemble my doll."
Lance quietly laughed, shrugging to try and mask his shyness.

The forest seemed full of wraiths. As the snow fell silently it muffled everything, sounds and appearances and light; everyone seemed shadowed and wavering. It was on his way back to the Idol's red flowers that he spotted something--white among the scattered white under the trees. The albino buck paused, then brought his steps closer...it was another deer, of course. Curiously, he leaned down and sniffed, taking in what he could of the sleeping one's hazy appearance. He seemed delicate; was he cold? A faint smile crossed his face and Ambrose decided to settle down next to the sleeping form, draping his tail's plume like a blanket over the both of them.
