Mystress thought long and hard over what the strange voice known as "Jyuniper" could mean for her. Did the voice wish to use her? In what manner? Would it lead her to places she would find danger? Or would she learn more about herself?
She cleared her throat.
"Um. I'm not really Jyuniper. I'm a spirit, that was sent down by the Gods, to finish a few tasks before returning to heaven. But, I needed a body. The Gods saw fit that I raised the body of the doe, Jyuniper for my teachings, as she had paved a road of love in her lifetime alone." Yorres furrowed his brow for a few moments, studying a mushroom with a few remaining dew drops left on its roof. The droplets sparkled in the few sunbeams allowed through the leaves overhead. "And just now, before you came, her voice spoke to me. She said she wished deeply to be my voice, now. To help me with my teachings... I accepted. But I'm wondering if I'm ignoring her voice, because I can't hear her anymore." The doe hung her head.
"I can try and help you understand what this means for you. But I think we'll need to pray. A lot."
The stag lead her to the Twin Gods. Something was holy about this place. It was there she could hear every prayer ever uttered within their presence. Swooping in and out of audiable-range, like waves. Some were for love. Others for their own image. Some for strength. Some for revenge. Answered and denied prayers danced around them as they stood watching the cold figures looming above them. "You can hear them also?" Yorres attempted to bring Mystress' attention. She nodded.
"Prayers?"
"Indeed. I thought I was the only one." He watched Mystress thoughtfully while she studied the features within the statues of the Gods.
Their deeply carved features were inlayed with lichen and fuzzy moss. Vines crawled their way up the white stone, and ferns sheilded their feet. Their marble glory seemed more to be headstones than idols of creation. The grass around them was overgrown, and only a few hoofprints were seen. That of fawns, who had spent their time playing, more than praying at this place.
It had been a long time since the Gods were awakened.
Yorres sat, and welcomed Mystress to sat next to him.
"Just Pray." he whispered.
