Blah

Well, there's a blizzard today and I'm kinda snowed in, so might as well post again.

The other job didn't come through - it was a mutual agreement that the position wasn't right for me. And I have a deep respect for the company's owner for being so upfront about what he wanted. We were both disappointed about the decision, but in the end I know it was the right one for now.

One more week and my current job is switching me to day shift. I still won't get weekends, nor two days back to back resembling a weekend, but at least I should be able to sleep a little better, maybe get a social life again. I'll still have Saturdays off so maybe I can drop by for a drink or two on my way home on Friday nights.

Now I'm hunting down jobs at animal hospitals and the like, hoping to break into a more enjoyable field.

Wish me luck. I'm tired of having no meaning.

I'M BACK!!

After a long, irritating process of figuring out what was up with my ForestViewer, I finally figured out the solution. I had to get an updated driver and that fixed the problem.

So anyway I can play again! Quad was on earlier (he was sleepy though) so you'll see him again in the Forest.

THANK YOU JEN!! That FAQ page solved my problem!!

I don't know if I'll continue taking random screenshots or if Quad's just going to frolic, dance, and make funny faces, but either way he's back!

UGH!

I hate school! Everyone is hitting me just because I'm a Tokio Hotel-fan!
Why do people have to be like that..? ;_;

Woo

Rire hasn't made any diary entries!
Maybe it's because we're lazy. And/or busy.

Well, today, Rire woke up and... promptly went back to sleep again. The sounds of the frogs and the water lapping in the creek were just too good to pass up! After he dozed for a while, all peaceful-like, he got up again and went to track down the only other deer who seemed to be awake in the forest. There were fun, and the trio got into a game of follow-the-leader-dancing-do-the-wave I dunno what to call it! But it was fun.
Screenshots later, maybe? No time right now - Rire's prodding me (the fingers) to go and do calculus, like I said I would when I told him why he had to take a nap.

Exploration

The fawn awakens in this strange environment he shalt soon call home. Bewildered by the tranquility of the scene, he does not move immediately, but instead surveys his surroundings. The trees are rich with life and the very forest floor bustles with the frenzied activities of the myriad of creatures spread throughout its thatch work.

Feeling somewhat more grounded, he takes his first tentative steps into this lucid locale. Finding nothing at first but the endless trees themselves, he begins to wonder if he is, in fact, alone. Distantly he hears a rumbling, as if the earth itself doth tremble. Again and again he hears this, scared beyond belief and yet morbidly intrigued. His curiosity envelops his fear and he heads forth to investigate.

Stumbling through a patch of rocks he shalt soon know as "the playground", he is led inexorably on by this rumbling, now faintly resembling coherence. He thinks he can discern a benign tone in the vibration, but proceeds no quicker for this epiphany.

Gradually, grudgingly, a ruin arises 'twixt the shades of the o'er-arching boughs. What mind or creature could create such structures, he ponders. But the sound is definitely coming from within, so he suspends such thought for the time being, and presses on. Within the centre of the ruin, and seemingly equally as ancient, a proud stag with archaic antlers and a sagacious expression perches upon a plinth. The fawn instantly heralds his superior and prostrates.

The stag seems pleased by his humility, and slowly wanders towards the perimeter, slow enough to insinuate its wish for its new friend to follow. The fawn stumbles along the rocky ground, but obediently respects this unspoken request. The stag stops by a rock that is somehow different from the others, and motions for the fawn to investigate further.

Genesis

I hath just today acquired this intriguing virtual gateway, and I must profess that 'tis rather perplexing at best being so short of stature and thin of chest, but still, I continue on and hope for the best, 'til before the Heathen Idols I lay me down to rest.

The Diary of Seed, 2-25-08

I did it! I did it! I sat on the air! well, mostly, I sat on a willow tree. or in one, hee-hee ^^. But I did it. I'm not very good at doing fancy things yet, but I'm managing...unless one of the deer gets twoo high. I'm looking at you, Sluggs and your cage-top mockery!...Oh, it's OK, really, Sluggs.

I also finally got to see Scape again today by the ruins! We proceeded to mess around, such as hiding in tombstones and pillars. One thing kinda bugged me, about my favorite grave to hide in: who was the little human-thing on the tombstone?...I can't help but worry that it was whoever was in the grave, and they wanted to show how much he suffered...Humans were probably crazy. Anyway, Scape and I messed around, hiding in trees and running around the river and suchnot, generally having the best time I've had in days. Then we did some magic with some other deer, and I had to go.

I met up with Scape, Sluggs and some other deer -- some fawns, I guess, and some stags -- in the ruins again later. They were hanging out near the wall, all the stags as fawns, and we became like this...this...wall-o'-fawn-butts! It was very funny. Most of the others left, but Scape, Sluggs and I stayed behind and played with the wall some more: we started just sort of floating outside the wall, sometimes half imbedded in the wall, and sometimes upside-down...When we were done laughing about that, we found a little spot in the ruins that, to me, looked exactly like a dance floor! it was just a little square of stone. So we started dancing. I even got to breakdance some more ^^ And then Sluggs had to go, which made me realize how late it was, and how tired I was, so I just curled up there on the dancefloor and went to sleep.
