Will non-supporters be able to play once it's out of beta? Also, what does the second decade have that's different from the original? Specifically gameplay wise

2. Right now it's the same gameplay, different game engine. The new engine will allow them to expand the game in the future (a new location titled The Valley and a first NPC The Sundeer are already planned/funded, as seen on the fundraising chart).

While I don't have the first-hand experience, since I backed the game early and got my emails the same time other early backers did, I assume the devs will too send you an email containing the links to your perks (3d model, mp3 files) and will ask you which account you'll want your Valentine set/Golden pelt on (if you have those perks).
In case of a 3d model, it's gonna be a private link to its Shapeways page. You can choose the color/material/a few other small options there and have it printed/shipped to you, for a cost.
Or you can request a 3d model file from the devs to print it yourself.
Super excited for that, I only learnt of The Forest recently and was never able to play it (due to the game being outdated) but I've been keeping close tabs on it since I heard of it. I'm really excited to try this out when it's ready
