...and it followed.

A sudden flash of lighting streaked across the sky, spooking Isis once again. The thunder rolled over barren hills in the distance, seeming to close in and trap the doe.

Olive orbs danced across the fading light of sunset, leaving a dim reflection of the light overhead. With a exaggerated sigh, she slinked away from a rather large birch tree to find a more suitable site to dose till mornings arrival.

With a crunch, her dainty ashen hooves hovered over a demented leaf. Glancing around worridly that she might have startled something, she soon began to breath evenly once more. Just as she got all four tall legs to the forest floor, footsteps startled her from afar. '...what was that...?' she wondered, pricking her ears towards the disturbance. "Hello...?" she whispered unthinkingly, lifting a foot to dash forward in an instant if needed. She sighed relief when the fragile silhouette of a mere fawn appeared from behind a hill. With a gasp, she gazed into it's distant eyes. They gleamed like crystals, and stood out from the black forest. As the fawn approached, Isis continued her stare into those beautiful eyes. The young deer now stood infront of her, staring with her georgeos face into Isis'.

Another flash of lightning lit the sky, showing the full features of the fawn. Isis let out a wild gasp as the younger came into full veiw. "...Hello there," she started. The creature just stared politely back at her, her eyes burning into the other's like fire.

Isis took a careful step forward, lowering her snout to take in the baby's sent. To her suprise, her slender snout went straight through the fawn's pelt. She swiftly lifted her nose, kicking her hind legs forward defensivly. The fawn shook her head, her eyes turning concerned and warm. As Isis' sharp hooves graced the ground once more, the fawn nuzzled into her side...not going through her.

The doe reached down and nuzzled her neck back, her ears still pinned back in confusion. Isis sighed in relief, for the fawn showed no hostility.

The female smiled politely, and turned to walk away, leaving the stunning child alone. As Isis began to pick up her pace, she noticed the nosie echoing behind her. Turning her face to see what it had been, the fawn was right on her heals, looking up at her with empty, shining sockets.

Isis continued on, checking from time to time to make sure the young one was still present. Once she found a decent tree with a thick canopy, she settled down and cuddled the fawn to her side.

The doe's eyes drooped, and she fell into a deep sleep with the fawn protecting the world that surrounded them.

--Not too in-depth, just a quick shabaam of Isis encountering the fawn...I also have a drawing in progress that I might post.
