I logged onto facebook this afternoon and someone I didnt know had added me. Instead of rejecting, I was curious, and accepted. He immediatly inboxed me, asking the general ASL. He asked for my age, He asked for my gender, he asked my location. I told him UK, England, London. Then he told me I was sexy.

I got worried.

I kept talking to him, and now he's sending me threatening inboxes, asking were I really live and that he's going to find me and rape me. He told me he would kill my mother and sister, then take me to his flat in Essex and rape me 'till I screamed. He told me he'd take me to different men and let them do what they wanted with me, force me into prostitution.

I reported him.

I dont want the children or adults in this community to have to recieve these disturbing emails.

When you log onto face book if you see anyone by the name of Shahed Noor please please PLEASE do not add him for the love of god.

Hence why I don't have facebook at all. The idea that anyone in the world can get access to your location, times of days you do things, and what you look like, has never sat well with me.

As Facebook has much more

As Facebook has much more personal information on your profile than Myspace or other places, I'd advise everyone to never accept a friend request from anyone you don't know.

I myself only have fb to keep in touch with older relatives I don't see often.

I only add people that i know. If it is someone i haven't talked to for awhile and probably won't talk to them again then i will still add them but (and i'll admit this) i will leave them hanging for awhile XD
i don't know why, but i just do lol

Also on another note, please be wary of the apllications that you add and the groups you join. There can be viruses/trojans that can really harm your computer.

While I feel terrible that this should happen to you, I don't see why you would add someone as a friend that you don't actually know. For reasons such as this I never add someone that I don't see as a friend or at least an acquaintance. As has been said before, you can remove him from your friend list and then restrict your information so that he can't find anything out about you.

Anyway, good luck...If you've reported him then you should see some administrative results soon!

I personally think it's best

I personally think it's best not to get involved with any huge social network.. too much information to too many people- even my language teacher in highschool knew how to get past 'private' profiles on Myspace and she used it as a prime example to why it's not a good idea to have one.

People are often careless on the internet, as well.. and may post things they'll later regret- nothing can be undone.
