Qilin (Kirin)

"Although it looks fearsome, the Qilin only punishes the wicked. It can walk on grass and yet not trample the blades and it can also walk on water. Being a peaceful creature, its diet does not include flesh. It takes great care when it walks never to tread on any living thing, and it is said to appear only in areas ruled by a wise and benevolent leader (some say even if this area is only a house). It is normally gentle but can become fierce if a pure person is threatened by a sinner, spouting flames from its mouth and exercising other fearsome powers that vary from story to story."

Just a quick sketch and crude color for the night. I saved the line art so I can experiment with different coloring styles and textures.

Even though I enjoy the modern drawings of dainty, deer-like Qilins, I prefer to draw mine as badass and ready to trample the wicked.

Its been a while since I've draw something decent, so I was thinking about drawing some wolves or other wildlife. Maybe I'll add some colour to them, hehe I always hate colouring because I'm scared I'd mess up my drawing it I do it wrong. I think thats why most of my work only has little parts coloured (But I like how that looks :3)

Taking a small break from This to do some things for myself, since things are going slow for me and I've had to take a brief moment to get the idea sketched out.

Anyway, Valturez... yes, Valturez. In what his species call their 'true' form of sorts. He is not entirely solid in this form, due to Ashendale's corruption when the parasite was within his body. Valturez's form here is basically as solid mass of Muscle that covers an inner fire core. Thus all the flames flaring up from his body in areas.

His wings are not connected to his body, they rather float above where the shoulder would connect into the body. They can also just completely disappear if he desires (Much like his wings in his main form). Because they float above his body they are not natural for flying.

Overall this is pretty crappy XD And it was a bitch to draw but I love his little stubby tail XD His skull is based off a Bear Skull, the front four legs are dragon/hand like, while his hind legs are hoofed.
