This is a crossover fanart of Niel Gaiman's
The Sandman and The Endless Forest. I was initially inspired to do
this doodle after reading "The Dream of a Thousand Cats" in which Morpheus, Dream of the Endless, Lord of Dreams, appears to a cat as a large black cat.
Someone on another forum asked me if I would do a painted version, and after reading some of
The Kindly Ones, I was inspired to do this.
Morpheus is often pictured with colors and flames in his cloak and with black-blue hair. I kept the white face and the eyes.
I just recently finished
The Wake. What a great ride the series is.
Maybe this will inspire greater artists *coughGHOSTcoughNEMcough* to do something like this.
