Since Verdalas' story has been put on hold, I don't really have any deadlines for illustrations at the moment, so I'm taking this opportunity to thank the kind players who gave me art. They're just speedpaintings but I'll try not to make a complete mess of them.

So here is my official thank-you to Echo for your lovely portrait of my deer!

Ever since I was part of a discussion on deer birth, death, rebirth and sex (almost a year ago)....I've had this image in my mind:

You walk up to a secluded piece of forest and gaze about in awe. You are in the Nursery. This is where all deer are born and reborn. When a Stag dies...his spirit is called up to the Gods and 'planted' with in a seed and placed in the Nursery. As the Stag grows, the seed grows and eventually 'flowers' a Fawn. It is a time of celebration for the reborn Stags' closest friends.

However, sometimes the Gods will combine the souls of two Stags to create a New-Life. New-Lives are typically the favorites of the Gods and many have spell-casting ablities that no other Stag has. Unfortunatly, it is these Stags that are called back to the Gods 'early'. It is said that they are coveted so fiercly by the Gods that they are loath to part with their special Stags.
