This is my first blog entry after exploring the Endless Forest for about a month now. Now that I am no longer a fawn, I thought it would be fitting to post a blog entry.

I awoke to a heavy fog. So thick that I could hardly see further than the nearest tree. I stood up, and looked around. I was not afraid, for the first time. Before this I'm sure I would be sprinting off to the nearest elder. Now I stood, alone. And while I was not afraid of the white mist before me, neither did I know what to do. For a long time I simply stood there, thinking.
It finally occurred to me that what I felt was the fog itself, invading my mind, numbing it. This had always been the case, and I was simply too naive to understand. This realization made me smirk, and I began walking at a steady pace through the forest enjoying my surroundings.
I heard a group of fawns whining noisily at something. Having nothing better to do, I investigated. I saw three fawns staring at someone sleeping. He was coated with gray and white fur. He looked very old, very wise, and very tired. He must have been some sort of patriarch to the little ones. Poor guy. I let out a loud bellow as I approached the scene closer to announce my presence, so that the fawns would not be frightened. It was only once I fully approached them, though, that they paid me any respects. Though once they did, I felt a great deal of satisfaction. I happily gave one fawn a set of large golden horns for antlers with some magik. This made the others very happy. I enjoyed playing with them, before retiring to the Old Oak.
I snuggled against myself. My final thought: maybe growing up isn't so bad.
