Odin's Revalations of the Forest (Contains screenshots)

[=#AF7817] I awoke, alarmingly uncomfortable within water. I had forgotten I had slept there, whilst leaving Aegle last night... the air howled above me. The sign a storm may be coming...
I stood, my parted gold fur dripping, I could feel my skin wrinkled, and a cough began in my throat that told me of my foolish place to rest. Tiredly I lifted my feet, and stumbled onto the bank where I rested my head in the sunlight for a few minutes... my bag of runes was soaked. My only piece of home. My beloved villiage, and my altar... my love to whom I will never see again. She would think me to be dead... he golden hair twisted around me in a memory, shimmering golden braids and pale blue eyes watched me lovingly. I could not have been with her...

A run began in my noze, and I sneezed. My body began to quiver with a chill in the sunlight. The cold was not on me it was in me... what a strange feeling. I had seen others from a distance, sleep in the water for hours on end, and never be cold. I was still vulnerable to this place, and everyone within it... I was still, human . A joyous swell within me made me want to cry out, to know that was still part human... I was still Odin ... but I held it in... Shrinking at the thought of something even bigger than I discovering me. What would I do then?

A few more moments passed, and then only the ends of my hair were wet, and I thought perhaps they would dry if I ran. I picked a silent spot, where it was flat and I was able to run long distances without anyone seeing me.
No one is here. my ears told me. And so I bolted, feeling my new lungs pump the fresh morning air into my body... the wind above me raced among the leaves, who cheered with an earthy voice.

More fun with Kinsha!

Ran into Kinsha, who turned Quad into a squirrel! So he started to have fun, while Kinsha bombarded squirrel-Quad with head tilts!

Keeping him still to take closeups ended up being a hilariously difficult task, as he kept looking at Quad and tilting his head! Anyway, here's some screenshots:

Oh, and the title is because I made a Fun with Kinsha topic before, and it was also at the Ruins! Laughing out loud

Fledgeling Fossil

Where there was water, there was life.

That was the lesson he always understood. Nothing dead would come of the lake... nothing! The koi were immortal here... They had existed for centuries, and had the knowledge of centuries to proove, it... though few ever listened to them. 5 second memory, they say... Most untrue of words.

The grasses around the lake never seemed to wither with the cold, or shrivel in the heat. The dragonflies... how long had they been there? Their wingbeats plesant hum like music in the air.

The gray stag always slept, not near the lake, but in it. Always on that slope, which sharply dropped into the depths. He was careful about his sleeping spot, never to turn in his sleep so violently as to drop under. He chose this spot, because it was within the range of the dragonflies music, and so close to the koi... the immortal koi... who he called his friends. It didn't matter that half the time, his fur was wet while awake. He was so young, so fresh to the forest compaired to them... but he knew so much more than he should... Because he understood the wise words and spills of old knowledge the koi would tell him.
They knew of Walter's creation as an adult... They knew the first deer to ever be in the forest... they had seen the twin gods not once, but hundreds of times. They knew so much about what went on in the forest... because where there is water, there is life. All life needed the water... and thus all life would come to it.

His brown-red eyes squinted open, blinking freverously to adjust to the light of day. He lifted his head slowly, his horns half stuck in the mud. He grunted slightly, pulling his neck upward to free himself. The mud made a loud 'schlurp' sound, and a bubble popped over the surface from air caught below. Something white was in that pocket... An oddly shaped stone?

A Day in the Forest

As I awoke I could sense that there weren't many deer in the forest this day. It was painfully quiet. Stretching my lungs, I let loose with a bellow. But still, it comes out as a fawn's cry! How embarassing!

Atleast I can run properly. I test my legs as I run from one landmark to another, happily soaking in the sights and sounds. But, I can only do this for so long before becoming bored. Always mischievious, I decide to give some sleeping deer a surprise. As I had seen other deer do before me, I happily chomped down a pinecone and relished in the magic it gave me. Finally, I found a suitable victim. A sleeping stag. I happily changed his antlers from stubby bumps to golden trumpets. Easily enough fixed when he awoke. No harm done.

Prancing away, I found a fairy ring. I had heard that sleeping in one could give even more magic, so I curled up. It took awhile to get to sleep, but it wasn't any trouble. Finally, a truly impish magic!

Soon enough I came upon a pair of stags walking together. We exchanged curtious bows before I cast the spell. The plainer of the pair quickly changed to a small animal! A laughed, but the other stag seemed upset. He reared up and I fled. Surely it was anything too difficult to fix, was it?

Un comfortable with said encounter, I found a safe spot near the twin idols to rest. As I drifted off I wondered if I'd ever see them come to life like some of the other stags talked about...

This little guy is brand new and ready for adventure! I hope that everyone welcomes him to the forest with open hearts. I'll have a picture of him up sooner or later! Till next time, may the twin gods watch over you all.
