So I just had a whim, and bought a set of watercolors off eBay for use in painting DEERS. It'll take about two weeks to ship, and I'm out of school as of an hour ago, so I figured I might as well practice my composition and linin' skills before trying to paint. And then, of course, I have to learn how to paint.

(I dunno, I've been working on a sketch of Laphis for a day or so [not posting it, because he looks stupid without antlers] -- the first one that's actually succeeded in going somewhere -- and it just feels as though coloring it with pencils would be too.. harsh. So I blew $15 on a watercolor set. ^-^)

Anyway, accepting test subjects to Help Laphis Acquire Art Skill(s), or in other words practice on. I'm planning to lightly draw the lineart/outlines, then color them using the paints once they get here.

AND YOU GUISE GET TO HELP ME WITH ANATOMEES UNTIL THEN YEAH!

...any volunteers?

I'v been member in TEF for 15 weeks 2 hours!
so just want to party in the forest beside my house!

Had a lot of fun this morning. Quad accidentally sneezed off his mask and found out he had the DotD mask in his lineup!


Ran into Gehirn and another deer. I don't know if the other deer wants to keep it a secret who they are, but I know who they are XD


Quad got startled by all the other deer over there. Honestly I didn't know they were there!

This morning I galloped about hunting down interesting pictograms and meeting up with deer-folk for merry-making and the like.



Here we have a group of dancing deer. I just wanted to shout out and say thanks for the fun guys!



And then I met up with two other fawns and boogied a bit before taking off for new adventures!




-Question: Is there an easier way of taking in-game snapshots other than hitting 'print screen' and then pasting it into Photoshop?

...it's my friends on here that are keeping me on TEF. If I didnt have any, I think I'd quit straight away/give up on it as of late.

Why?

Just the fact that I've been having so many problems with TEF the past week or so yet again. Pictos wont spread or I get clumps. Only on spontaneous occassions will I get a decent spread. Or the times when I dont want to play or there's no one on I know. It's not fun when you know your friends are on and playing while you're on msn to them and you cannot join in and the conversation goes silent. Yet I keep trying to get the pictos to spread to get on just cos they are...

I feel like Michael and Auriea have neglected TEF for the Path...they have not fixed the livemap, the comment problem or updated the front page. Or this picto problem...

Yes...I know what I said in the beginning sounds like mush...but it's true. My deer and I have made some great bonds that I don't want to break.

Usually I'd keep this to myself...but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

This is the second time this has happened. I log on, it shows close to 30 players online. All pictograms are gathered at the bottom of my screen. So I start running towards them. And running and running and running. Until I've cycled through the forest at least four times, and the pictogram huddle will shift occasionally to the right or left ever so slightly, but still I haven't met anyone. I've tried relogging in, but its all the same... Any explanation as to where all the deer-folk are?

OKAYSO I was the National Harbor this weekend and I saw a huge banner for Cirque du Soleil's show called Kooza which I guess will be around in October BUTANYWAY the banner was so awesome and the colors were too cool for school. I loooove their performances and it would be sooo cool to have a line of Cirque inspired sets for the Forest, yes? Like based off their costumes/theme/colors or whatever. I have no idea if M & A would ever use any ideas as actual sets, but it's fun to imagine them anyway. C:

SO I AM HOLDING A CONTEST.

Rules

It's simple, really. Create a full Forest set based off of any one of Cirque du Soleil's shows!
You can use color schemes, patterns, designs, textures, materials, whatever from looking through the content of their shows/costumes/advertising/design. Having fun yet?!! xD

Keep this in mind: I am not looking mainly for artistic ability, I will look mostly for creativity in the design itself. But, your idea should be clearly portrayed.
