Storytelling Festival

Hello! I've had my eyes set on TEF for a while, but I only recently got the chance to really play. It is definitely an interesting game, and an interesting experience.

We've gone to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival for as long as I can remember, leaving late Saturday afternoon and returning home late at night. I had heard from my mother that there was more to it, that she went every morning and stayed there until the time we saw her in the afternoon. Finally, I had my chance.

We went all Friday-Saturday and went to listen to each Teller in turn, laughing with the funny stories, crying with the sad, and on Friday Night, going to the spooky stories and getting our pants scared off when the power suddenly shut of. The hilarious thing was, the teller herself started with the unfortunate accident.

Then, Saturday night we went down to the Scera Shell and listened to the funny tales, of Donald Davis and his snake, and of Syd and Sean Connery. They are absolute geniuses, ever single one of them. I'm proud to have a mother who is a storyteller as well.

I've Changed Whisper To A Fawn

Because I acciently made my deer fel in the water I've decided to turn her to a fawn. I don't know why. I'm trying to make her orange with those blue patterns on her. I'll turn her to a stag at June the 23rd (it is her birthday that day) or next month. Maybe you deers can look out for her and look afteer and be her mum or dad or something.

Elk bugling added a whitetail skull

I am posting a tatto I am working on based of a pencil scetch I have done! I lived in Montana for a while and loved the wild life there. I would be interested in seeing how some others would color this elk tattoo drawing.

The original pencil artwork can be found here to see how I shaded it, http://www.timberwolfrc.net/deer.htm

Please post what you do!

insane night

Woke up in the forest last night to find candles all over the place but Timberrc was in the natural deer pelt and no picto. Found Tally and another deer by the pond, they were very skitish! Timberrc tried to do a pattern or two to see if Tally reconized him, thinks she did but did not trust the old deer and she ran off! Saw Rells deer down by the pond with a few other pelted deer. Timberrc stood over by the tree when Rell's deer hit him with a pelt spell. Timberrc nodded yes, Rell's deer nodded no then ran off! I wandered the forest for a while and came across Tally surounded by natural pelted deer, Timberrc bowed as he normally does when leaving and thinks Tally might have reconized him but was still skitish. Tally bowed and layed down as Timberrc watched over Tally while she sleeped! Timberrc wandered the forest some more and found Rell's deer again and tried once to see if the old deer could be reconized but Rell walked off! Timberrc wandered the forest on this mad night were friends did not reconized friends and stayed away from the other deer he knew because the madness was all over the place! He found him self by the large rock formation and played with the candles, he found the night grew quite as the last of the active deer left the forest and five sleeping deer were left to attest the nights insanity! Timberrc wandered the deermuda triangle were he found sanity in the insane night, then wandered off in the the tall grass on the ridge to hide and seak peace in his dreams!

Whisper's diary *page 1* (top secret!)

Dear Diary...
I finally decided to be part of an exciting activaty with the other deer. It was game of Deer baseball. It was so exciting I had to share it with Cougar. "Deer baseball?" Cougar asked.
"Yeah", I replied, "I'll see ya in the view!" Deer baseball was on next week. My big sister Rain wanted to be part of it too but I said: "Sorry, sis. The players are already figured out".
"Oh I understand", Rain nodded. I never knew my big sister even spoke like that if it sounded very sneaky... Anywhoo, at the game we were pratising before the day. I was a champion when I was a fawn-so I might make my team win!! When the day began, my family and Cougar were part of the view but I couldn't find Rain anywhere!!!! When I was about to kick the ball, someone pushed in my way-it was Rain! "Rain! What did I just tell you?!" I yelled. But I spoke too soon, Rain kicked the ball the goal-keeper missed! My team won! I just couldn't belivie it, I AM the champion of the game, am I? To humans, baseball, they used bats but we deer make like 'basketball'. I found out that there are more champions than just me and that's why sports is so much fun!

By Lois's deer, Whisper. P.S. Don't tell my cousin Shimmer this cos then she'll tell her friends it and my diary won't be secret anymoe!

Memento Mori

Lantern

The little fawn shivered in the cold of the night, fur illuminated by soft glints of the moon, high above. He had never really been that fond of the night, though it was nice that the two little candles above his head lit up.
He stood up on spindly little legs, brown eyes searching for something. Searching, searching, searching-Ah, there. He caught the scent of the doe on the night breeze, whispering softly past. He instantly took off running for her, nearly crashing into her when he stumbled upon her. She wore no fancy pelt, just a dainty butterfly mask. He happily snuggled into her side.

Aegle...” He smiled. She was the one of the few that could chase away the whisper-deer. The strange voice was talking to him nearly every day now, whispering more and more things that he didn't understand, couldn't quite hear. He was coming more often too, multiple times a day now. The little fawn tried to push the voice away, but it wouldn't stop.

The doe next to him stirred and looked startled to find the little fawn right next to her, though her gaze softened. He nuzzled into her soft fur, warm in the cold night. To him, she was almost like a mother. He was sure that she respected him, though. She understood. He lay down next to her, closing his eyes against the soft, brown pelt.

As he closed his eyes, he found his thoughts drifting to her eyes. Thee was something strange about them, something glassy and distant. The little fawn felt that it definitely was not a good thing, whatever it was.

She stood and he followed her lead, opening his eyes. Another figure stood there in the moonlight, giant white antlers curving above his head, dark pelt marked with bones, wearing a night-dark pelt striped with white. Bones, he thought. He looked admiringly at the stag.

Aegle? Who-
