Pixie-kind
Pixies are mythical creatures of folklore that commonly reside within the Faerie-realm, however are incredibly mischievous and curious so can be found in other locations depending on bloodline.
Shared traits of pixies regardless of bloodline are; pointed, long ears, petite in size and high prominent cheekbones, but otherwise can be vastly different in appearance. Some may have wings or unusual colour tints to their skin such as green or blue. Magical element affinities may also play a large factor in appearance.
Neona comes from a long line of Pixies that resided in the realm within Devon that scattered and dwindled during the war between Pixies and Faeries, the ‘Kenrick’ family.
Faeries from Somerset decided to attempt to extend their territory into Devon, pushing out the pixies that resided there. Due to the stubborn and violent side of Pixie’s nature, a bloody violent battle between pixies and faerie was waged with the pixies victorious.
By nature pixies are incredibly mischievous, playful and adept in magic.
The mischievous nature of pixies often leads them to play tricks on others, such as stealing possessions, or having humans be ‘Pixie-led’ where they change aspects of the environment to confuse and disorientate their victim. However, they are also easily bribed and may trade magical services for something of value. A lot of pixies, including Neona, have extreme sweet-tooths and may be bribed with baked goods.
Pixies are also well known for swapping out human babies for their own kind. Be it amusement, or purely to ensure the survival of their own species as pixie children between pure-blooded pixies are very rare.
Like a lot of fae, Pixies are severely allergic to Iron and can be incredibly harmed by it. The touch of iron burns their skin and can cause great damage. However, some brave weapon forgers have created iron-based knives that Pixies are able to wield in battle. This is how they overpowered the fae in the battle for Devon.

True Pixie-form stands at 30cm and is visually identical to her human one, apart from the addition of transparent wings and sharpened incisors.
Almost never without jewellery. Sees jewellery, like most pixies, as a sign of wealth and power. Very vain and likes to dress herself in alluring accessories or style her hair in an elegant fashion.
MagicNeona’s magic is not limitless and she can tire easily from overuse and exertion. May be heavily fatigued after major usage and uses sleep and food to regain strength.
Some spellage are harder to maintain and create than others. For example, Neona can glamour someone or something to look like something/someone else. However, they are not fully transformed and merely appear to others as that thing.
Actually fully transforming and ‘shifting’ someone into another form takes a great deal of strength and power. Typically to do such a thing she’d have the spell wearer hold or wear an enchanted item to keep the spell going. These items take a lot of time and energy to create. Stronger spells, unless time and dedication is put into them, may have tiny flaws not easily noticed.
Can create a vast array of spells to be cast onto others as pranks, but also may create more alluring gifts at a price.
Affinity for water. Drawn to water and loves to be around it. Loves the rain. Magic is a lot stronger when near or touching water. Has a preference for natural springs or creaks.

History
Neona entered the Endless Forest via an enchantment cast on the ‘stone circle’ at the Playground. Had visited the forest during solstices, equinoxes, and new moons prior to her time spent with Emem during the Rut of 2019. Spent the majority of her time leading people astray within the forest and confusing them.
Learnt of her pregnancy a few months later; and toyed with the concept of swapping her children out with human babies, and passing the human offspring on, thus having them be ‘changelings’. Reluctant and unsure of whether or not she is ready to be a mother.
Faerie-realm “Kinbilnal”
The Faerie-realm has many names depending on cultures, examples are; Elf-hame in Scotland, Álfheimr in Old Norse, Ljosalfheim, Tír na nÓg in Ireland. The pixie kind refer to it as Kinbilnal, the invisible realm.
The Faerie-realm or the crypto-terrestrial is Neona’s homeland and where the majority of her people reside. The realm itself is hidden from human-eyes but can be encountered in places considered sacred or auspicious times of the year such as solstices, equinoxes and new moons.
Typically the seventh born in a family may have the ability of second sight and affiliation with fairy folk. However, a small minority may also be gifted with this ability. These individuals may be able to see those of the otherworldly faintly or be able to pick up on their auras.
Time runs very differently in Kinbilnal. A day in Kinbilnal is a week in the human world. Seasons in Kinbilnal are also a lot longer and are greatly celebrated. A human taken to Kinbilnal can live for hundreds of years and suffer no illness, but depending on how long they’ve been in the Faerie-realm- may never be able to return for as soon as time catches up with their mortal bodies, they’d wither and turn to ‘dust’. Those with otherworldly blood, however, are able to enter and leave as they please with little to no consequence.
Kinbilnal mirrors the human world closely, but lacks in transportation such as vehicles due to the addition and usage of magic. Housing and structures are more exaggerated and unique depending on the location and faerie inhabitants. Think of earth less touched by human hands. Very plush green forests, rolling hills and major variety in weather.
