(GORE WARNING)
They will catch him… this time they will catch him.
The white fawn turned his head, a look of panic on his scarred face.
He saw them in the distant… the guards… hunting him… coming closer…
His heart was pounding... no they won't get him. Never.
He, he, he!
He will be free.
Free.
He could see the exit in front of him.
Yes... YES!
He ran into the endless nothing, escaping his prison, finally... finally free!
FREE
He fell.
Laughing.
Giggling.
Hard impact... bones breaking... tormenting pain.
He groaned... this... this pain was horrible... where... what...?
He lay on the street again.
He was in hell again. He heard the howling of the sirens, unable to cover his hears, he had no hands. Just hooves.
He saw the red glow of the firestorm in the night, unable to close his eyes. He would see it anyways, even if he would have been able to close them...
He smelled the scend of burning flesh...
... felt the pain...
... the fire... it was burning him...
He screamed...
...he helplessly rolled on the hot asphalt...
This...
THIS PAIN
...this pain was unbearable...
He felt how the flames, burned his flesh, his muscles, flickered over his bare bones...
He was still screaming.
... the world turned dark when the flames reached his eyes...
...screaming without lungs, without tongue...
This Pain...
THIS PAIN
Stop it stop it MAKE IT STOP
Someone was giggling next to him.
"What, what, thought you like the pain, filthy animal, yes...?"
Someone was bending down to him.
A man.
Himself.
His human self.
"Dreaming again, yes... ?"
"Seems... seems like."
"So meeting Jergy again... hehe... we won soldier, we won."
"He he... yes... yes we did. But.. ah he... he gave up now."
"A pity... hm hm.... he gave... though he is that close... to feel what you feel soldier..."
"What...? We won... I saw his eyes... he he he... we won..."
"Stupid filthy animal."
His human self stroked the fawns burned flesh.
"There is still one thing that distinguish you from him, yes?"
The fawn was confused.
"What...? What..? He he... I made him cross the line... he... he went too far... I nearly managed it twice...he nearly went too far twice... and hehe oh I... I am sure I will manage it..."
His human self silenced him...
... he ripped out his tongue.
Blood pouring out of the fawns mouth.
"Think again, think again, filthy little animal, yes?" His human self was giggling, got up again, throwing the useless togue away.
It landed somwhere on the street...
...he knew this street.
He could hear the sirens in the night, smelled the burned air, felt the heat of the firestorm.
His body was burned, the muscles molten to a black, sticky mass, the bones shattered by the heat… he was unable to escape this hell.
Suddenly he saw them...
Three persons on the street. A woman and two children…
... his family.
He watched his human self approaching them, holding a gun in his hand.
Again the fawn was unable to close his eyes, he was forced to watch...
... to watch again...
Watching himself…
... how he raised the hand, that was holding the gun.
Without tongue, with burned lungs he was unable to scream.
He knew this never happened.
First shot, Hannah broke down.
His wife.
Burned muscles, even unable to move
He knew he didn't kill them
Second shot, Hannes, his son broke down.
His son.
Watching in terror...
... but they are dead. He didn't kill them, but they died...
... not by his hand, but they died...
Third shot, Maria broke down.
His daughter.
His wife, his son, his daughter.
His family.
Laying on the ground.
Dead.
He watched the human Jack turning around again.
He was smiling, started to laugh.
Then he understood.
The fawn started to smile as well, molten skin hanging down from the bones of his burned face...
... that's it.
Family.
He started to laugh, watching the human Jack raising his gun again, aiming at him...
... he saw him nodding, the face distorted by an insane smile.
"Good boy... you understand...!"
He heard the gunshot, felt the bullet breaking the leftovers of his skull...
... incredible, stinging pain.
...
...
The white fawn winced. His breath went fast.
Jack opened his eyes...
... a beautyful day in the forest. Like usually.
He looked around... ruins... he was at the ruins again...
His body torn by several wounds, his legs broken... several bones broken...
Pain.
Wonderful, lovely pain...
... he moaned.
All of the sudden he started to laugh.
"Family... hm hm hm...
... yes... I understand."
His stinging eyes fixing something in the distance.
The Crying Idol... the tree next to it.
" Oh.. yes, yes... I understand."
Jack understands. I do not
I do not understand.
