Mods for Oblivion? Don't know what this stuff might be, I'm still inexperienced for a lot of TES things, only the games I can play. xD

I didn’t want to confuse you, it’s just such a great thing about the TES games I think! They are made for mods or plugins, so that everyone (I tried it myself, but I’m too lazy x-D) can create content (via the TES construction set mainly).

You can download the stuff made by others (and some of them are incredibly competent). The biggest site for Oblivion and Morrowind is [url=]Tes Nexus[/url], you can find everything there '8-O But you have to have an account there...

Examples for mods I know are various houses, a rideable dragon, being a werewolf and – which is very importand to me x-D – digitigrade feet for Argonians. Of course there are risks like everywhere on the internet, but – except for sometimes difficult installing – I didn’t have bad experiences. It’s much fun and can make the old game interesting again

Oh, and I think mods work only for PC.......

And for Skyrim: Well no, I wouldn’t say it’s necessary, it takes place 200 years after Oblivion : -D
Even the leveling system is very different (and so less complicated than Morrowind’s).
If you want a game which occupies you longer than AC I’d definitly recommend it. Though... the graphics are worse : -D

I have a PC, yaay! And I sure have to try out these mods for making my game experience as interesting as it was before! I played Oblivion only when I missed it or when I was bored. xD

And a RIDEABLE DRAGON.... I think I'm going to install it soon enough when there's one for Obliviom. xD

Also, there are some cool additions to TES I, TES II, and TES III.
There are some additional games, not only the Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. There are the expansions available. And I think TES II has a free download somewhere...
Did you know that Oblivion has that expansion, too? It's graphics are better, but I don't know what's the name or gameplay. It's the previous game before Skyrim.

And there's much drawing for Federweber coming up! I can't... Get... Rid of it! I love digital painting! 8D But you're a master painter (for me) in digital art world, so, you can probably explain how to make art transparent and how to work on layers? Please? You don't have to answer, I'm maybe asking too much. x)
Also, I'm drawing because I'm so inactive. I feel guilty Violet's storyline doesn't advance. ;_;

Maybe ArtRage isn’t a bad idea, it’s quite simple, but there also some important feature missing.
But what do you want to know about layers and transparency? Have you already used layers? Do you know what their use is? I admit I’ve no idea where to start. x-)

My tablet only wanted Bamboo Dock to be necessary. I'm still figuring out how did they mean that I can get ArtRage (full version), Corel Painter Essentials and Adobe Photoshop via download. xD

I haven't used layers because I don't know how they work and how to work on them. x|
I have no idea what their use and benefit either, fsad I'm so stupid.

As far as I remember you have to log into the wacom site and then there’s a section anywhere where you can download the programs and the most important thing is to write the registration codes down... but I’m sure you’ll figure it out

It’s funny, I just wrote a text about layers on Ama’s scribble blog (I feel guilty for spamming) x-)
Well, the most important use is that you can paint on a layer and it won’t influence the rest of your painting. Layers are like sheets of glass: You paint on it, but you can also remove it or change the glass sheet under it without influencing all the other parts of the painting!

That’s incredibly useful. You surely know the problem of painting a background with traditional media:

• You have to paint around the foreground, especially with watercolors that’s quite difficult. If you want to change a figure you don’t have to paint with the background color on it, you just erase it or add color as you wish.
  
• You don’t have the risk of destroying parts of your picture by changing its environment.
• Outlines are a great example! You can draw on the top layer, and then you can paint under it. You won’t lose your outlines, but in the end you turn the sketch layer invisible! I often use several outline layers, first for rough doodles, then (one or several) for more detailed lines. After that I remove the old sketches.

That’s the basic stuff I think. I’m sure there is more, but I don’t remember it now : -D

I’d propose that you try it now! You’ll see, it’s quite simple. You’ve probably already noticed the layer area in ArtRage, it’s on the right. I think on the small arrow button there should be an option to create a new layer. After that you can paint on it, just like you paint usually. You could try to paint a background on the first, paper layer, and a sketch on another transparent layer, and then paint the foreground on a layer between these two.
By the way, you can change the order of layers by simply drag and drop them in the layer area wherever you want.

Hehe, I guess that was much and strange, and maybe I left out some explanations, but if you work with it I’m sure it will quickly be clear to you (and I can answer specific questions better)

Next stuff would be: Opacity, locking layers, transforming layers and layer modi.
By the way, all my programs are german, so I hope I won’t confuse you with wrong translations : -D

Hm, opacity seems a bit difficult without layer modi and so on. Opacity is just the transparancy (there are too many english words vor this x-D ) of the layer. It’s 100% by default. So for example if you painted shading on a layer and it seems to dark, you can set the layer‘s opacity down. I think this is most important vor atmosphere colors and so on, and especially for layers with special modi.

The layer modus is a bit more difficult to explain, but in my opinion it’s incredibly helpful. You won’t need them for „usual painting“, only if you use special techniques. This means: if you use layers for textures, lighting, color, etc. in your painting. I’m not sure if this is important for you now, but I always thought playing around with layer modi was fun, so maybe you can just try it and see if you can use it in any way.

Ok. In ArtRage you see that eye next to each layer. By clicking on it the layer turns invisible (this is useful for hiding outlines and so on). Below is an arrow. If you click on that, all layer options appear.

First there’s the name field (not sure if I can say ‚field‘ in english x-D). It’s important to name your layers if you use many.
Then there’s opacity. Well, nothing more to say, it’s from 100% to 0% – invisible.
And now there’s that thing which is called in my german version mixture. There you can see various modi – explaining all of them would be too much, I always try which modus fits. Most important for me are soft light and overlay.
With these modi you can not only add atmosphere light, but for example change the color of a small part of your painting by simply painting on a new layer with the new color over it and then change the modus to color.
There are so many uses – but I can’t remember any more now : -D

Deinstalling mods is a good idea, Oblivion started to be really slow on our system because it had to load so many mods x-S

The only scary thing about these giant minotaurs are that they come in four different colours, there are four of them and they're very powerful.
