So, figured I would put one of these up.. I guess you could say it's mostly just to lay around if I ever need it, but please, I love RP and anything at any time would be very welcome here ^^. It can be based off of forest events or not, don't care. Rules? Eh, do what you'd like, no offense will be taken by me and I'll expect the same in return. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think you guys need everything spelled out..
Anyways, feel free to start, or ask me to.
The deer
Zahava Bio (Antisocial jerk the majority of the time ;A;)
Alani Bio (Much easier to get along with... Goody two-shoes...)
Rhea Bio (Guess I'll add her.. She'll probably just laugh at you though. /ded)
(I'm so slow, sorry guiz ;;
niriya:
Zah watched as the little doe fumbled around. Then, she had a self-absorbed idea.
"Hey, kid.. Want to do something useful?" she asked, just a bit of slyness in her voice and yellow eyes.
Waning-Sun:
The doe hummed interestedly. "I was forced to fight, I guess you could call it a wrong reason.."
She shifted in the water, trying to get more comfortable. When she looked back to the stag, there was an almost quizzical look to her eyes. "Why is it so bad then? If you fought for the right side, why do you hold regrets?"
Caden grinned, pleased that
mismatched: The doe nearly
The doe nearly jumped out of her skin, "Willow! That's it, you're a genius!"
The orange doe took off for the pond in a hurry, not even glancing over her shoulder to see if the blue stag followed.
Caden was taken aback when he
As he ambled awkwardly—at the quickest pace he could muster—among the shrubs, a smile beamed its way across his countenance. He didn't even know this doe! Yet, she had reached out to help him without a shred of hesitation. 'Now, that is a loving heart, if I've ever seen one...' he thought as he made his way to the pond.
The trees soon cleared to reveal the grassy banks, and Caden paused, searching for the dame. It occurred to him that he didn't even know her name! 'Silly of me not to ask,' the brute mused, 'but I suppose out introduction was rather silly anyway...I do hope I didn't cause her any injury, tripping over her like that.' However, judging by how swiftly she'd taken off, Caden figured she couldn't be feeling too much pain, so he shrugged it off.
(I'm slower. :]) -- Pica
--
Pica surfaced lazily, blinking water out of her eyes and shaking her head violently to clear her ears as soon as she saw Zahaha talking. Something useful..? Guess it depended, but if it were Zaa askin' then... "Why not? .. Unless it's dangerous." No problem at all, if it meant doing something.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
mismatched: The small doe
The small doe slid to a dusty stop right in front of one of the massive willows. She took a deep whiff. Yes, this was right.
Then, the doe realized something: she didn't know how to get it off the tree.
Alani tried biting at the tree, but that wasn't working given her lack of top, front teeth. Really, she was just gumming it... Next, she scrapped at it a bit with a hoof, but her hoof was to flimsy to even scratch it. With a frustrated sigh, she put her forehead against the tree, wishing she had some antlers right about then.
Looking over her shoulder, she noticed the blue stag had ambled over. She yelled at him from the tree, "Hey, mister! Have you got any teeth I could borrow? If not, I think those antlers will do."
niriya:
The black doe lifted her head and motioned out into the water. "You see those fish?"
"Wanna try getting one for me," she asked following the words with a lick of her chops.
He shook his head,
Waning-Sun: Zah's ears
Zah's ears flicked at his avoidance, wondering what it was he had to hide. Then, she shrugged, rolling her shoulders; she wasn't one to pry.
"Yes.. I wanted nothing to do with the war of my old land.. I was forced into it as a death sentence, put on the front lines. They never expected me to last the whole war," she told him. The black doe was secretive about some things, but the war wasn't one of them.
Her ears flicked back and she murmered a bit of an afterthought,
"Well, almost the whole war..."
He chuckled, "That probably
{sorry for shortness. -_-}
Caden tilted his head, then
Waning-Sun: (You're fine, I'm
"Yes, it did at first. Though they got a fighter out of it.. I've always wondered which one of us won then.." She shrugged again.
mismatched:
"Yes! Brilliant!" she exclaimed with a lit to her voice and a perk of her ears. Lowering her head, she inspected the bark. Good.
"Now, I'm ninety-nine percent sure you need to chew on this, but don't swallow." the orange doe informed him, "If you start feeling funny though, stop." Well, she had to cover her bases, she wasn't always right..
Suddenly, the doe startled, "Oh! I'm sorry; I've forgotten my manners. My name's Alani." The little doe gave him a polite curtsy and a smile to match.
Caden nodded, and knelt down
When he'd finally finished, Caden spat the pulp into the grass, and shook himself, as if it would rid him of the abhorrent taste. "C-Caden," he managed at last, "it's nice to meet you." The stag smiled, and dipped his head courteously.
The Farmboy trotted as slowly
mismatched: Alani plopped
Alani plopped down beside the stag, watching with bubbly excitement. She'd actually been able to help this stag... Hopefully.
"Pleasure to meet you as well, Caden." she said with a smile. Then, she had a thought. Looking back at the willow, and then back to the blue stag, she grinned a little sheepishly. "Caden, could I ask you a favor?"
Proud:
A large black doe sat in the pond, her head laying on a log that resided there, resting in the rare moment of peace. The water came up to cover most of her back and chest.
One of her ears was kept on a swivel, listening for the wolf's footsteps she'd come to learn so well lately. Most of her body had bite marks from that wolf and she wasn't letting him anywhere near without keeping an eye on him.
She watched as a stag made his way towards her. For a moment, she thought he would pass. Then, he spoke. The hind looked around, no one else was there. He was talking to her.. She narrowed her eyes quite skeptically, wondering about the connotation behind those words.
"Hello." she said curtly, her less-than-cheery mood probably obvious in the tone of her voice.
(omg she's so adorable lol!
Caden had taken a moment to try to clear the last bark bits out of his teeth, not caring much how silly he might look. At the orange doe's next words, however, his ears perked, and his attention was drawn back to Alani. "Yes?" he asked, anxious to repay this kind fem for her service.
mismatched: (Dawww, thanks,
"Could you rip off some more of that bark for me?" she asked. Surely she'd need more of it in the future. Deer seemed to be flinging themselves into injuries lately.. She wanted to keep it at the ruins where she kept her ginger stashed, for future use.
"Never know when I might need some more."
Caden glanced at the tree,
"Fish..?" The fawn squints
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
mismatched: Alani snickered
Alani snickered at the question, "No, I'll spare you that.. I just wanted some for future use."
There would always be injured but she might not always have stags around to peel bark for her. Best to be prepared.
niriya:
Zah watched Pica with with amusement. She almost started instructing her on the best method, but this seemed a more entertaining alternative..
The black doe gave a shrug of a shoulder, "It's alright if you can't do it."
He nodded, glancing toward
Waning-Sun: "No.. there is no
"No.. there is no winning in war." she said softly, looking out into the pond for a moment. "After stabbing a young man through the gut with a tine and then having to watch a mother come mourn over his mangled body, I never again considered it winning.."
She looked back to the stag. Normally, she didn't talk with so much weight to her words, but he seemed to understand. "Though seeing the joy and the freedom earned from those battles, seeing the people no longer captive under a tyrant, that made it worthwhile."
"Maybe the good doesn't outweigh the bad in the end, or maybe it does. Maybe another war will begin a year later making the former one all in vain. Maybe generations will live in peace.. I don't know, never will.. After coming to know the people I fought along side and fought for though, I know I could have never sat on the sidelines."
"War demands of you to choose a side.. If you choose neither, are you more brave or more cowardly than the fighting warrior?"
Perhaps lunging for it would
It was followed by much flailing, splashing and chasing where Pica tried to lure the fish by calling to them with her head stuck in the water, then backing away to herd them towards the shallows where hopefully she could sit or whack at one. The plan never word from the moment she stuck her head in the murky water.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
niriya: "Alright, alright…"
"Alright, alright…" the doe said, keeping the skepticism from her voice.
She leaned up heavily against the log, still watching Pica with amusement as she worked it out. A corner of her lips rose slowly as the little doe stuck her head under the water and she wondered how that was going to work out for her.
Zah then yawned loudly, stretching her jaws apart as far as they would go. She laid her head back down on the log, peeking at Pica with one eye barely opened.
"Tell me when you need help."
The Cowboy trudged along
The brown male casualy walked towards the black female."Scuse me,lady, but I believe you're in my spot.
(Sorry it's taken so
Caden allowed a light laugh to pass through his lips at his misunderstanding, "Well, that is a relief!" With that, he stood up, and aimed his rack at the tree once more. He slid the sharp tines along the bark gently, until several more pieces dropped to the grass beside him. "There you are, miss. But I must ask: what should I do with the bark I've just chewed up?"
mismatched: (You're fine
Alani jumped up and scooped the bark into a pile, surveying it with a grin like a child fussing over a Christmas present. She barely processed his question and she answered almost dismissively. "Oh that? Just leave it there; it's tree bark you know, biodegradable and all.."
Then, her head shot up in realization. "Oh dear.. I wasn't specific enough, was I? You were just supposed to chew it and swallow as you did so.. Don't need to eat it, just chew it to get the good juice out of it, and swallow that.."
She studied him for a moment, her lips drawing back to reveal some of her back teeth in what looked like a sheepish expression. "You didn't spit out your spit with the wood, did you?"
wingeddeer:
So, I know we did this over skype... but I feel weird just ignoring your comment, so...
HIYA ♥
Caden stood frozen for a
A smile broke his scare, and yet another laugh came. "Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you with that! You are a wonderful healer. I'm truly grateful for your kindness. Is there any other way I can thank you?" he offered gently. He very much wanted to repay the doe for her deed; she didn't have to help him. He felt that if it had been anyone else, they might've told him to watch where he was going, and to be on his way!
mismatched: The little doe
The little doe also breathed a sigh of relief; she would have hated to make him chew it all over again. "Good, good," she said, nodding an affirmation.
Alani smiled proudly and lifted her head a little higher when he called her a healer. No one had ever called her that before.
Another way to thank her?.. The doe honestly thought on that for a second.. Nothing came to mind; she was a simple creature, really, didn't require much. The orange doe shook her head with a grin, "Oh no, Caden. No need for that."
"Perhaps you could sate my curiosity though and let me in on whoever did that to you?.." she asked cautiously. Alani knew many wouldn't want to let a stranger in on information like that, maybe he'd lost the fight if it had been one; he might not want to talk about it. But the doe surely did want to know who'd done it just to keep a sharp lookout for them. She didn't have big antlers like him to defend herself with after all.
Caden thought for a moment on
He blinked and continued, "Anyways, the second was a red stag whose name I do not recall. It was a brief fight; Halla pulled Shahla and me out. And the third was against a despicable creature, going after two newborns and their mother. . .I didn't even know an animal could have it in its heart to do such a thing; not in this forest! But, my guess is he is a new enemy. He has no name, but you would know if you saw him. He appears to be a large, mauve wolf." He stopped to catch his breath, and make sure he wasn't getting too worked up.
Leaning toward the golden dame, he spoke in a low tone. "Do watch yourself out there, miss," Caden warned, then straightened himself once more.
It was not going good. Not
Squaring her shoulders and snorting out mud, Pica marches out towards the general direction of the Crystone, another outrageous plan blooming in her mind. Perhaps fish liked blueberries?
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
mismatched: Alani listened
Alani listened quietly, a small sneer spread across her face at Reed’s name. That was the only creature who had ever given her problems; he had outright attacked her once. Quickly as it came though, she let the expression slide off her face… Sneers were ugly…
The next thing that pricked her attention was a mention of a wolf.. She’d seen him prowling around once or twice. The orange doe would definitely give him a wide berth now, it sounded like a rather despicable creature.
Her ears flicked as he leaned towards her.. Watch herself? She never got into too much trouble, but with all these deer getting hurt around here it wouldn’t hurt her to be careful. She looked up to the blue stag and nodded fervently, “Yes of course.. It pays to be catious.”
niriya:
Zahava watched quietly. Maybe it wasn’t her best idea to pick at the little one’s ego.. This could take a while.
When the fawn set off for the crying idol, Zah grumpily hauled herself to her feet and limped up the banks of the pond.. She didn’t follow Pica all the way.. Just close enough to watch her from a distance
Happy and buoyed with her new
Grumped as she meandered back to stir the bit of down - which had moved in a slight breeze - with a passing hoof, floating it up with the current of air her movement displaced. Already her displeasure at not being able to catch any fish for Zahaha had begun to fade at the sight of the gently floating fluff against the green, browns and blues of the deep-forest.
A gust of wind blew the down far out of reach towards the pond with a small brown fawn in tow, looking up at it's erratic movements.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
Zash glanced away, thinking.
{e} I apparently can't spell.
niriya: Zah wafted air
Zah wafted air through her nostrils and limped in the direction of the little doe. When she saw Pica bounding towards her after a feather or two, she froze. The down reached the black doe and she let out a snort of air to blow it out of her face.
The doe then leaned her head and neck down to Pica’s level. “No fish, eh?”
She turned to look up at the fluttering down. “Might just have to get a bird then.”
Waning-Sun: (dfwpcdnw sorry for the wall of text)
The black doe thought on that for a few moments. She liked his bold assertions; they were thought provoking. A fire stirred in her belly at the mention of motives for war. Her motives and reasons were very clear and true in her own mind.
“This is true. You aren’t any better than your opponent when you fight on that basis. Though laying down arms and accepting fate doesn’t save the lives of the innocent or set the captive free."
“There comes a point when you must decide how far you’re willing to go. Does the end justify the means? How many lives are we willing to take to win freedom and peace? Is it really worth it?” The doe asked. She commonly made her points by asking questions; questions forced the mind to think on a subject rather than respond automatically. “The answers to those questions will be different for every individual.”
“No standard exists that every being agrees on when it comes to what is right and wrong. One thing is true: wherever there is life there will be a struggle between control and freedom, between chaos and peace.
If you choose to take neither side of a war, then perhaps you are neither right nor wrong, neither brave nor cowardly. Neutrality is a peculiar, grey area... You’d have to have enough inner peace to accept whatever fate befell your people, and, if the results where catastrophic, you’d have to live with the fact you did nothing to stop it.”
He listened to what she said,
Waning-Sun: Zah nodded and
Zah nodded and turned to face the stag once more. Her head dropped and shoulders hunched as she took a stalking step forward; a shadow of her former, canine self. "Chaos and peace. They're two wolves, fighting constantly. The one who who wins the battle is the one nourished and feed by the people. Though, as long as they exist, they will continue to be at war."
The doe shook herself abruptly and stood straighter, listening to his words. One word in particular, selfish. Considering the doe was incredibly cynical, the word alone could spark a whole new heated discussion. She'd let it pass now though, perhaps another time.
"Perhaps so. Though I myself don't care to fight for those who are in disagreement. I could care less of their views.. My interest lies in fighting for the ones who simply can't fight for themselves."
He nodded, finding her
"A noble cause to fight for." he murmured with a nod.
Sorry he doesn't have much to say.

The doe gave a single nod and then closed her eyes, sighing heavily.

The mare made her way quietly through the forest, her long strides kept in a slow beat as her hooves gently hit the grassy surface, sending small bugs and debris into the air with every step. She didn't know where she was going, she didn't know what to do.
This wasn't the place for her.
Arriving by the ruins, she stared at the structure, reminding her of days gone by, filling her mind with wisps of the past, fading so slowly by the day. She neighed, wondering if anyone would reply. Was there others like her? She did not know, did she really care?
Perhaps being alone is the best answer.
Justdance: Uh YEAH
Vinttage:
Alani's head shot up from the grass she was grazing on upon hearing a loud call. It sounded different to her, not just a normal deer, or so she assumed.
Naturally, the little orange doe just had to go and investigate. With a skip in her step, she bounded in the direction of the sound, stopping short when she got a glimpse of the owner of that call. It was a club-foot! Alani did like club-footed deer.. Deep down though, she wondered if the club-foot was contagious, simply because she had seen so many of them lately. She'd have to find a remedy for it...
Nevertheless, the orange doe trotted up to the large creature. She seemed to be staring at the ruins.. Alani wondered why.
Stopping beside the larger creature, she tilted her head, also looking at the ruins..
"What excactly are we looking at?"
The bull wandered through the
As he neared the pond his eyes scanned the surroundings, likely in hopes of finding a familiar face, especially of the one he had spent some time with. He hadn’t spoken even one word to the dark doe that frequented the pond, but he knew she had a good soul. She had given him company when he was alone & just for that, he would be always grateful.
The bull gave a quiet snort before making his way down to the bank & without looking around he stepped his front hooves into the cool water. The pond was all the bull knew. Sure he had ventured around the other parts of the forest, but the pond was always the place he ended up. As he lifted his head & water briefly dripped from his muzzle, his eyes finally looked around, hoping to find that familiar face.

Justdance: The black doe
The black doe rested in the gentle waters of the pond, as per usual. It had seemed like a very calm day to her.. No one had come splashing or stomping. No predators lurked for an easy meal. Days like this were something the doe both loved and loathed. Sure, it was a chance to recuperate but the doe grew restless during the times in which peace descended upon the forest. It Odd in the fact she constantly faught to keep peace and yet she rarely allowed herself to enjoy it.
Her eyes opened at the sound of a snort, not bothering to get up from the water she laid in. When she peered over, she caught sight of one she'd come to enjoy the company of. The bull.
She didn't know his name or a thing about him, though that didn't seem to matter to Zah. She appreciated his quiet comradery and the fact that it seemed he'd watch her back in a fight and visa versa.
In her old land, the bovine creatures had simply been a food source for the humans. Zah even recalled stealing a calf from under a human's nose and eating it back in her days as a wolf. This bull though, he had morals, good ones.
She regarded him and waited for him to catch her glance. Then, she'd give him a simple nod of welcome.
That brought out a smile from
Sorry can't code right now.
The small voice had startled
A native was there, a small one, well, a small one to Lynn. Her face was a distinctive creamy color, very unique from the others. She seemed so delicate, so light. She stopped in her tracks, sniffing the cool air. How long had she been there, Lynn hadn't even smelled her scent, but, Lynn hadn't used her senses for a while now.
She stared ominously at the doe, scuffling her hooves, completely forgetting the stranger's question.
The bull relaxed his
”Peaceful…” he would finally whisper. The bull had spent more peaceful days in the forest than any other kind & while he enjoyed these & even longed for them, he did wish for some action. Be it aiding friends in battle or simply making new friends or acquaintances. He wondered if the dark doe felt the same since he always seemed to see her resting around by the pond though always up & ready to aid when there is ever any trouble lingering in the shadows.
His gaze moved next to him as they rested on the does beside him ”We’ve spent many times in each other’s company” the black male began ”Would it be ok to ask your name?” he asked, tilting his head slightly.
Sig: Aihnna
Waning-Sun: ”Any time,” the
”Any time,” the doe replied, settling down into the cooling waters.
Vinttage:
Alani let out a sharp cry of her own at the creature’s outburst, cowering before the giant. It probably turned out to look like quiet a comical moment as the two screamed at each other. Then the doe quickly turned around, looking for what had scared the larger animal. Certainly it wasn’t her. Nothing was there though, so she turned around to watch her curiously.
“I scared you?” the orange doe asked in disbelief.
Justdance:
The black doe nodded at him as he bowed and then she flicked an ear to catch a quiet word once he was seated. Peaceful… Just one word, but it made her think.
“Perhaps in the moment.. Though I’ve always wondered if peace is a mere illusion.”
She looked out into the pond, listening as he continued. His voice sounded calm and almost peaceful in itself. The hind gave a single nod at his words.
“Zah… And yours?”
Lynn continued to stare,
"Pardon my outburst, young. I did not hear you behind me, and was merely stunned by your sudden arrival," she replied, scuffling her hooves on the ground.
This was silly. Lynn was bigger after all. She leaned her head closer, sniffing the doe's scent, so if they do meet again, she won't be startled.
