I'm absolutely no expert on the sit-sliding thing, but as far as I can tell, you have to start to sit down while turning left or right (for any duration, even very short), and quickly move, ideally with the mouse. I'm terrible at the last part. What you saw was probably me using the keyboard to go forward, and then swapping to go backwards without letting go of at least one of the movement keys. I need to practice a whole lot... Magic helps too. ^_^

It's all kinds of late where I am, so I've probably made a bunch of mistakes that I'll spot just after the option to edit the comment disappears.

I try not to cast spells on deer (only when they want it) but I’m really slow sometimes. Maybe I shouldn't cast spells at all…
